There should be a "Least Deserved Mute" award this year, I think.

Probably better to scrap the cheatbot entirely. Flippers are fine with BSG's in standard, and no need to overpower popups to oblivion. MOE motor? Nub tarp.

Octagon arena has no OOTA so, really judge burst flippers are actually at a disadvantage if anything.

MOE motors seem balanced to me and the wheels are okay. All the other extras However I'll have to decline.

I should also mention that spots for judges are open. So if anyone's interested...

You seem to have missed the point. Judge. Burst. Popups.

Are those the axle extenders or pole spikes on the side? Either way, nice job.

well the point of an tourney IRL or standard is winning, which means effenciency even if it's a tiny bit, it's UNAVOIDABLE if you want to win a tourney, now effeciency should not compromise realism or functionality, obviously

The point of a standard tourney is winning, yes.

The point of an IRL one is having fun.

well thing is that you enter a tourney, which means that you may at least a little bit win, which mean slight efficiency increasing, problem is as soon as a bot show signs of slight effenciency focusing, even if the bot itself it's perfectly valid, they'll ban it and classify it as cheap, gay, non-IRL

You shouldn't be focusing on efficiency. You should be focusing on functionality- then looks, and only then efficiency. If you want to do efficiency, that's what standard is for.

tl;dr you do IRL wrong.

Discussion / Re: Cruiserweight
« on: May 18, 2014, 08:45:47 PM »
this should cover your needs.

for me it's:

Fleaweight (FLW) = 100kgs
Antweight (AW) = 125 kgs
Beetleweight (BW) = 175 kgs
Featherweight (FW) = 200 kgs
Lightweight (LW) = 249 kgs
Middleweight (MW) = 399 kgs
Cruiserweight (CW) = 600kgs
Heavyweight (HW) = 800 kgs
SuperHeavyweight (SHW) = 1200 kgs
UltraHeavyweight (UHW) = 5000kgs

this way you get:

Lightweight classes:                         Heavyweight classes:

Insane Lightweight: FLW              Insane Heavyweight: UHW
Extreme Lightweight: AW             Extreme Heavyweight: SHW
Lighter Lightweight: BW                Lighter Heavyweight:MW
Light Lightweight: FW                    Light Heavyweight: CW
Normal Lightweight: LW                 Normal Heavyweight:  HW

Changed fleaweight to featherweight instead. We could make fleaweight and UHW "insane" versions of LW/HW too.

I like this format, we could have AI packs for LW and HW only weight classes based on these with at least 5 bots on each team from the different weight classes.

Except for the feather and fleaweights. 100kg is going to get you barely anything and the most dull fights possible, and feather is also pretty pointless. But Ian did love his sub LW bots very dearly.

And why isn't it listed in The Official Weightclass guide by Sage?

Because the concept of Cruiserweight didn't become popular until after that guide was written if I remember correctly.

Joe was the first to plan a CW tourney, but I was the first to run one.

does the flamer poke out between the blocks of beaters?

lol even avalanche beat nary in bb7

you say that like it's difficult.

I am building what I see as IRL to make my bots look cool and original and so that they have a chance against some other bots (while keeping them vulnerable to some other bots) but yet "NOT IRL ENOUGH!!!1!1one!" and yet when people enter a DSL-S drum into IRL, people don't care anymore.

i have other ideas to rebuild them though, maybe they will look cooler as well.

It's normally down to the host- and people do care, look at Kurt's tourney.

Huge ton of weapons there though. The motor/disc falls off stupidly quickly anyways. Cool and IRL is easily done.

Granted, but you become goatmod of a forum which only has you and Noodles as members.

I wish that Nigel Farage exploded.

Granted, but it was all over your face.

I wish that it was the 31st of May, 2014.

Make it invertible. Cutting teeth suck. Get some protection for the motor.
I can do all, but protect the motor x.x
I'll try, though.

There's always a way. Whether you work it out or not is down to you ;)

Completely forgot about using hexes like that, wanted to use one for a bot and clean forgot you could.

Brilliant bot, as always.
