Which is the best video card for RA2? my video card has just failed (in my other computer that has RA2 installed, not the main one i run CCB1 off), and i was wondering which one would be best? suggest any video card here, even NVIDEA ones that work (which are few and far between :P).

ITS HERE! THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! COMBAT CLUSTER BOTS 1!!!!! Sorry it's so late, i have been through a lot lately. Vertigo -----------------l J24 l Vertigo l--------------l 090901 l G.K l -----------------l l G.K. l l Viper98 l -----------------l l l SKBT l l-------------------l WINNER l--------------l l------------------- Naryar l l-------------------l -----------------l l l Craaig l l NFX&S_M l -----------------l l TX&Fotepx l NFX&S_M l l--------------l Bubbles l -----------------l Badnik& Wafflez
J24 V Vertigo:
090901 V G.K.:
NFX&S_M V TX&FOTEPX:
Bubbleman V Wafflez&Badnik:
Vertigo's predictions: J24: Bad weapon sepupon the rammer, & not enough weapons on the juggler. SFTW team IMO, sorry J24 090901: First looks very stable & well built, but the second looks quite fragile GK: Sheck spinner is nasty, but the flipper would still be beaten by Mini Bulldozer ;P Viper: LOL, can't wait to see Nary's reaction. Bots can't be very effective though SKBT: Both look well built, second the better of the two Naryar: Definatly one of the better entries Craaig: Looks powerful, will be game over if a bot gets to the motors though NFX: Expected something better TBH, needs atleast 30kg hammers. Though I may be proved wrong... SM: Good bot TX: Not bad, but I won't judge this untill I see this working FOTEPX: Too fast, too fragile Bubbleman: Great rammer, but this is reliant on wedges, I hope their up to it. HS looks powerful, but something will get to that tribar... Badnik: Too fragile, not enough weapons Wafflez: Not great, SFTW entry IMO. Sorry wafflez Me: Should get past the first round unless I get a really bad draw, could do quite well in this if I get the right draw *Hopes*
Naryar's Predictions: Vertigo: Both look good, but their success will depend on wedges. Can win this. J24: Fail juggler and bad rammer. Fodder for most other bots. Not the worst though. 090901: Chop Suey looks OK but the other one... unfortunately i don't think this will fair well. GK: If the wedge is good then Enigma is going to own, but it doesn't look it has rear stabilizers. I don't know the effectiveness of flail killalot drills though. Can fair well also. SKBT: SawBlaze is one HELL of a Ripblade IV clone and the other one looks good. My bot: Doomkiller's Wet Dream faired pretty well in testing (beat Pwn's and 123's popups) but I am unsure about how good is my wedge compared to the others. Craaig: OK bot, but it's a VS and will get KO'd by a good wedge at one point. NFX: It does look pretty weak. Won't fair well IMO. S_M: Standard true popup. Depends on how good the wedge is. TX: Not bad for a noob... It might be too fast though FOTEPX: VS like these are a complete BITCH to make stable. Plus the bot's speed might actually turn against it. It's well built, but i doubt it's true combat effectiveness. Bubbleman: The HS is okay, but these kind of designs aren't really efficient in tournaments. The rammer... well, depends on wedges. Badnik: That has to be an entry for the lulz... I bet it will fail horribly, but has the potential to make something lulzy. Will see. wafflez: Robot fodder really. SFTW award goes to this. Probable worst team.

I say if Bubbles doesn't get his @$$ moving with this in a week it gets cancelled. He;s had plenty of time to get this started. (actually I think he's more active on Reier's forum then here now)
No, i am more active on here, but i just don't post much here any more. Would you rather you had no tourney?
You hosted too many tourneys already. And it is bad for Joe and me so we cannot access (not together, of course) to world domination :P
I have hosted 2 1/2. (Not counting Terror Twisters). I have merely helped with considerably more.
Thanks for the update. I hope this tourney happens it irritates me when these kids start tourney's and then never follow through. I hope Bubbles doesn't pull a TX on us .
I would never pull a TX on here. i know i would be banned and i would never like that as i would forget about this website. Bubbles has sent me the stuff. I will have the splash done by monday, as I'm going away for the weekend.
I will have the first round of the tourney filmed by then (unless something really bad happens worse than the world exploding.) here is the real story of the delay: The summer holidays were homework-packed, and my mum would not let me on the computer untill i had done it. my dad (not realising i had to do homework otherwise i would not be on the computer) got me a 30-day trial of a FSR, and it ran out 5 days before the holidays ended, not giving me enough time to film. so i have pestered my dad into buying the full version for me, and i will get it tomorow and film the first round then. (the explanation you have just read is 100% genuine. if you don't believe it then shame on you.)

Just an observation, but why dont you look at the "round" extenders more closely... They are actually a hexagonal prism. so they must attach on one of the 6 sides. try attaching an extender without rotating it,, then try attaching another "round" extender to see where the attachment point is. if it is offset, rotate the extender so that the side the attachment point is faces forward. That's what i do.

sorry, but i've been experimenting with AW chassis, so i would like to ask what do you think the best AW chassis would be?

Small bump, but oh well.
if people ask for these things because they've been on for, say, 6 years, you should give them titles like "forum middle-ager" instead of AU and maybe "forum old-timer" instead of vet; if they deserve to have AU or vet status by doing something for the community afterwards, they can have it. an example would be, say, someone whose been on for five years, whose done nothing for the community, asking for vet status; instead of giving them vet status give them, say, "Forum old-timer" status instead. good idea?

@SKBT if no-one else enters, the bye team will explode randomly and will be replaced by SFTW's.
Still, you will fight both teams, but nothing will count. It will just be for fun.

I would use a beta burst for this, and use titanium instead of failuminium. also, use techno's instead of mud tires, and move the bat's around and use 2 60kg black bat's and 4 ants. I also say @sparkey Why Shinies?
