It looks almost IRL, if the JX had more support on the sides.

If it's too tall for a middleweight, it should probably be fine for a heavyweight. Some designs just aren't meant for lower weight classes. Might even be able to make things more detailed with the weight constraint lifted.

Your best bet for the VS is just making the chassis tall enough to accommodate the motor. Unfortunately, it's very hard to make an asymmetric drum weapon without using custom parts, but you should be able to use a drum now that the motor's lowered.

The minimum-height schtick isn't exactly novel. Rammers use it, for the most part, although this is probably the first gutripper I've seen with one.
Doesn't detract from its build quality, though. Very nice. 345

it doesn't need an awful paint job when there's a weapon system like that

Ditch the ramplates and stuff more weapons (preferably without normals) onto the trappers. But the basic setup's pretty good already.

IIRC it was like 5-6 years back when we started calling 6WD popups poopups. Uuurrggh the (somwhat) old age is creeping in D:
As for the design, if you could find a more compact setup, you'll probably be able to free enough weight for armor or another wedge. There are a couple of designs out there with externally attached bursts or the whole thing on a Snapper II. MWs in general are quite easy to build while being flexible in terms of design so you could probably just play around with the bot a little bit and it will easily improve. 351

Would it be better if it just had 3 razors on 1 Snapper2 with a much shallower chassis?

Try making the drive static if possible, that will help loads against the glitchy pistons. That, and find a better placement for the upper plows for stability.
Then again, that pretty much requires a complete rebuild, and the end result might not be worth the effort. Still, cool design tho. 353

To be honest, this wouldn't perform as well as it should be even if the design is right-side up simply because there are no static weapons that act as trappers. Maybe drop the grannies to shinies for that, or wouldn't it be able to flip itself otherwise?

Stock Showcases / Re: Silverfish's Stock Showcase« on: December 15, 2015, 11:03:43 PM »I think that's the best a LW HS can get without using a snapper. That's still quite subjective. CP4 can still deal more damage due to razors + Supervolt and it most probably the best all-rounder. LeVeL is slightly better against wedges, and then there's also the various stuff MRAS puts out. It's kinda hard to judge in the LW class where the damage and defensive potential of the bots are so low, but you kinda get the point. Regardless, the bot's still nice. 355

Will rotating the horizontal bars forward and attaching the DDT upwards make it still drive well? Not sure if the chassis still needs more protection from stray popup hits or something.

Stock Showcases / Re: my pos bots« on: November 27, 2015, 08:13:49 AM »
Much better. Remember that you chassis should only be as large as it needs to be, so you have to make sure that it only fits the components that you need, as the weight you save can be used for more weapons.

That looks quite nice. The necessary stack aside, you've pretty much figured it out.
It's still very unstable, though. :P 360

A single snapper setup usually means all 3 weapons on a single extender, or slight asymmetry with 3 weapons on 2 extenders. It's the general tradeoff given the constraints.
