Some silly person in a white SUV pulled out right in front of me while I was going about 50.
Fortunately I have good brakes.
That was fun.
Something similar happened to me a while back. I was going down a country road, and some blithering idiot in a Mitsubishi SUV came barrelling down the other way doing around 60, and making no attempt to slow down. We had to swerve into the ditch on the side of the road, and we almost hit a milestone. Just one of the reasons I haven't been interested in learning to drive yet.
All you have to do is get good driving skills and know the limits of your vehicle.
