Damn, that will be very complex but I will get it done!

I'm assuming that means there will be loser's bracket for the tourney?

One less bye for you to worry about then :D

However my diagram is now incorrect

You would now only have to give 2 byes in the first round and one in the second I believe...

27 bots is 5 byes with a 32 person field.

Yes, but as sage said 27 bots with 3 byes (a 30 person field) would work but it may be slightly messy in terms of assigning who gets the byes.

The bracket may look something like this:
(Excuse my poor MSPaint diagram)

As you can see some lucky first round winner will get a bye in the second round. Sage will have to figure out a way to randomly assign byes to competitors (though he's probably already done this). If there is a loser's bracket a bye will also have to be assigned there too. This is still less byes than a 27 bot 5 bye field as you suggested

The short answer is "not very" :(

It tips to the side when it turns so the AI turnspeed will have to be very slow.
If it does tip over the weapon will right it but only after some crazy bouncing (more like flying) around the arena. So stability will probably be what will kill it in the tourney.

Agree with Naryar.

I'd like to see some shots of it in action, Reier, ES looks awesome. You've gotten the hang of DSL very quickly I don't think I've built a bot that cool in 5 minutes.

*coughyouranidiotcough*

I made an update to my bot:

and here it is against Mako

Basically I've made the chassis smaller to reduce the empty space (except for the section the weapon passes through) and strengthened the armor (3mm titanium)

EDIT: It also beat Smashbox 2!

@Joe: TWO dual perms ???

I think he means there are two bots to our knowledge that have weapons powered by dual perms...

Wow i didn't expect to partly "inspire" anyone with my robot designs, let alone Click. You have done a better job than I have in terms of weaponry though.
What motor are you using to power the weapon? I feel the need to all of a sudden rebuild Interventionism...

This is my RAW entry:
Archimandrite IV

Yep it's definitely a word. For those curious enough to want to know what it means: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archimandrite

After my BBEANS failure I abandoned the heavyweight Interventionism idea because i couldn't think of a way to implement a self-righting weapon
 onto it. :(

The spinner is powered by a dual perm and has 2 60kg sledgehammers on it. It has the capacity to throw robots very far but also does massive damage at the same time. It can beat Mako I'll try and get a screenshot

What started as a rebuild of cylinder of disaster became a totally different robot and thus:

POSSESSED LAWNMOWER

Many thanks go to sage for his marked extenders they saved me a lot of work
Made use of every single glitch i could with this one.
DSA Armour and the most compact robot i've built as the internals show

Can't see much so a opened him up as best i could.

He is very under powered and can't last a standard 3 minute fight. Most of his fights end within 45 seconds :)

Vs Borg Queen

Vs Jabberwock

Constructive feedback accepted.
