Pardon, but WTF is up with the flying lockers? Don't those have a weight of around 12000?

I really don't know about their weight. with speed and good wedge is quiet common (but not usual) to make them fly.

Just so you all know, I changed the KoTH bot (IDK if I showcased it or not). Philetbabe, you are lucky because, as seeing with every other bot you have made, they all contain numerous sledgehammers. In further testing, I noticed that my Deathmatch Bot's weapons were a little bit brittle. I think I'm gonna lose that one.

no front sledge hammer this time ... bad time for me

Built two heavies this morning -

Asmodeus (technically, one of the most powerful demons according to Jewish legends)

For Asmodeus, may be you should change the skirt to "angled skirt" to add stability and mount them on burst motot to flip the opponent.

I  haven't seen the bot yet, so here are ma prediction for my fights :

Tabletop :
 Philetebabe vs Gigafrost :
looking at bbean and raw, giga have not made quick straight driving bots yet. BTW, his bot are somehow original
(tanks for Titan, strange and chaotics weapons position for Supercycle and HVS). I expect to
meet a flipper built upon HVS (https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=962&page=2) : high stability, but maybe a large bot that allows to take it from side ?

 King of the hill :
Match 6: ScrapDaddy vs PhiletBabe vs Gigafrost
there again  from my previous suggestion, i thing of a hammer-armed poker  for Gigafrost . Perharps this bot should
hit in its front and back. and why not  a hammer  mounted on a DSL axe mount (like system failure) .

Scapdaddy : Scrap daddy have shown a wide range of different bots from horizontal spinners to poker.
each as dreadfull as the others.  I'm expected for a light version of Gorgon on this match : (https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1024&page=3)
terrific if faced, my hope is this bot should be low protected when fight from behind. And on the 'hill' bot sometime try to
 drive backward.

  Deathmatch
Match 7: Somebody vs PhiletBabe
in not changed, somebody bots have been shown there ; (https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=910&page=23)
as he said "the Deathmatch bot is very destructive." i'm scared

Here's a handy AI.py: 'OmniRam_EnergyMiser'. It is a version of 'OmniRam' with an appended energy(Battery) saver

the economic crisis is felt here too. It is necessary to save energy.
when will one see a bot  with a coal-fired boiler?

Edit :  to avoid any misunderstanding, i did not want to oppose Mad and NAr solutions.

Phil, that thing is so cool and freaky looking, it's hard to picture how it would function/do in battle.

against VS, well it just wait to be beaten, its many pointy tips finished to break one or two hammer, there, most of the VS starts to become instable and the awful green thing may go under their chassis. Its heavy protection (titanium 10) allow it to resist until the VS breaks their weapons.

Against others, it just whips around.

Do you have Fraps that you could link a vid and we could see it in action?

Not yet, but i lock the idea.

How'd you mod the "FBS immobility management"?

I just had to the whipper.py the particularity of FBS. (lines from _init_(), tick() and immobilityWarning() ). I'm not sure yet it has improve really the bot, but, after a feww battles, it seems to resist better to immobility... or perhaps i just see what i wish.

i've made light changes to the bot :
reduce wheels size and protect them with hard mounted weapons (no more DSL axle mount)

AIed it with a modified Whipper (add FBS immobility management) :

give better result, particulary against the so feared Steel Meatball that still get naked but without breaking AGTFO(S) wheels :

(boardgame collectors will notice that i missed space to finish the bot name)

HW - titanium 10 - rammer (when AIed as whipper, it starts well then get immobilized !)

This bot is in the sad spirit of GBBS and BO : breaks ennemy weapons and than get to a slow, slow win.

Break all Steel Meatball iron spike (fine), but SM breaks its 2 w (better) :-(

Here it is and I paralleled like sections so you can see for yourselves:

directionnal spinner inherits from spinner, that mean it does eveything spinner does as long as it dosen't overwrite the function. for instance the 'RobotInRange' function used for directionnal spinner is the same as the one for spinner.

In fact, the only 'add-on' of  directionnal spinner seems to be its capability to rename the trigger with something else than 'Spin'.

am i wrong ?

how good/bad is directional spinner ai?

That's a great question, looking at the code i do not see much difference between spinner and directionnal spinner.  Is there really a difference ? where is it defined ?
(Mad, ai-Guru, any idea ?)

btw there is a AI called VertSpinner which is quiet good : change the direction of spin when the bot is inverted, support Srimech and other fired weapon.
