You say you "downloaded it from one of the AU Battlebots" BUT, then you say "playing against it since I still have the default dsl2 AI".........DSL and UA Battlepack are two different packs.....DO NOT MIX THEM unless you know exactly what you are doing, and apparently you don't.

Rename your bot to cheatbot2 and you will get the flame thrower and such. You can also go to the download database and download the modified Components.cfz and you will see it all the time, along with the AI components that are hidden.

Delete the Components.cfz to remove the blank spots that crash the game, and you will have to make the pics yourself for the AI components. If you can find somebody with my old component pack I am 90% sure it has preview pics.

what do we do with the splash once we've made it? do we post it here or PM it to you? I think that the splash is on DUCK's to-do list, you just worry about building your bot. I am sure he wants to know WHAT TO DO....since the damn rules are not clear! RULES:
1 Stock Middleweights
2 no weapons, but anything in the extras is aloud (no cheatparts either) so flippers and pistons with ramplates or whatever are aloud
3 you must AI your self to eliminate complaining:argue_smilys:
4 no nasty pickles or bots with AAM
What to do:
Make a splash of 650 by 500 pixels (make the splash interesting) HE DOES NOT SAY A DAMN THING ABOUT THE BOT FILE This tournement will most likely be deleted unless proper rules are posted very soon.
