All of you:"OMG HE HAETZ ANIME LETZ MAEK FUN OF HIM HA HA!"
Me"Treat other people the way you want to be treated".
That's not it- by no means are we saying those things without provocation, but your apparent victimisation complex prevents you from seeing that. Instead, it's the abrasive, hypocritical and belligerent way you've been acting towards others who do like it without any sort of reason for it- like what you said to Scourge below. She didn't even say anything relating to the subject, you still attacked her for it, and then you go on about "Treating others the way you want to be treated". That's what we're getting at, here. And likewise, whining about it won't get you anywhere- man up and learn to improve yourself, or take a hike. Either option you take, I welcome it.

It's 6:30am here... And I'm already at school. Spare time much? (School starts at 8am)
lolwhy?
Boredom.
The things that boredom lead to- for me, "not a morning person" doesn't even begin to describe me.
I'm both an early bird and a night owl. I guess you could say I'm one of life's non-sleepers
Ahh shut up.
Shut up, you spaz.

Killerhurtz- it did very well in BattleBots, but never did as well as it should have over here, really.

Pardon me for asking, but what makes Connie's entry more realistic than all the others?
I'm refering to the SHW. I thought it looked like someone would build it IRL.
It reminds me a whole lot of the original Storm.
Looked a bit too chunky (not to mention green) to be that way for me- I personally thought Scrap's was a bit more realistic.

lawl just learned today my grandma got herself banned from yahoo.
So was she just bawwing about good old times and how kids are so disrespectful today, and other cliché old people griefs ?
Oh no, she was basically making a ton of jokes instead of awnsering proper questions and annoying people. The warning built up. It happened a year ago.
Pity that they don't actually ban the ones who need banning, then. Like those people who post the dating site scams- "BEAUTIFUL AND MATURE" my arse.

I may diss it sometimes.
That should be fine- nothing wrong with a bit of snark now and then, after all =P

I do like the mechanics and aesthetics of them, personally, rather than the KILLKILLKILL destruction aspect of them. I actually think the first two UK Series were better than the next five, despite the relatively crap machines.
I personally think that doesn't make sense. It's called "Robot Wars" for a reason.
*Protoman Whistle* I believe he's referring to the appeal in how they could be adapted for tasks other than simply fighting- you know, like obstacle courses or football, for instance.
That's more or less what I'm getting to. If you put Typhoon 2 in an Assault Course or Sumo match, it would fail miserably.
Exactly- there's something about seeing a robot designed not just for combat, but be designed for other challenges as well. What's the point of the Protoman whistle?
Just got back from my weekend trip back to Lincoln to see my folks up there.

They've dis-assembled Steel Avenger? D:
In order to fix up all the individual parts and things to bring it back up to proper running condition, mate- a bit like what they're doing with the Flying Scotsman.

Might troll him by building something, then =P
Go on right ahead.
OOH WAIT NO FREEZIEZ TROLLED YOU AND BEAT YOU.
Now, Unless Jonz doesn't enter a bot by tonight, you ain't got a spot.
Unless you want a wildcard...?
Depends if anyone else wants one, really. If so, then I'll do that. If not, I'll be alright with sitting back and watching.

You know what, GTM has at least 11 people with autism (that includes Aspergers). According to epidemiological studies 9 in 1000 children aged eight and under (and I don't think Autism manifests itself after age eight) have autism. So either a). some of you are lying or b). this forum attracts a large number of autistic people.
I was diagnosed with Asperger's at age 12 (though I've probably had it my whole life and no one picked up on it 'til I compared myself to a girl in that series Waterloo Road), so I don't think I fit into that study thingy.
Was diagnosed with it when I was aged 3, meself.
You're lucky then. At least you knew why you were different from an early age
Due to my age, I remember nothing on the initial diagnosis- and they only told me at around age Eight.

Mantis was one, we never saw a decent Complete Control weapons system in the UK and it lost rather lacklustrily to Kat 3.
I agree- I liked Mantis.

Murphy's Law would probably do quite well in task-based robotics, instead of combat alone. Something like Series 1 and 2 of Robot Wars UK.
Announcer: "From the UK side of GTM, Murphy's Law" JP: "And hopefully not built with that in mind! This Featherweight contender aims to inflict disaster upon its opponents with its electric-driven lifting arm and wedge shape to get under and tip opponents over. Builder Haz has competed before in the sub-light divisions with varying degrees of success, could this be his year at last?"
