Granted, Geice and NC are right up there with not much in the way of competition, but they seem to be active kinda sparingly now, which is a bit of a shame. You're definitely one of the better newer members, though, you're willing to take on advice with your bots, you've improved your building quite a bit, you've learnt most of the ropes around the place, and I'd say you were an all-around pretty decent member. =)

But yes, I have noticed that- usually as a result of me dominating the second-round melees, and then getting cherry-tapped from behind by some lucky pretender who doesn't deserve it right at the end of the fight. I'm sorry, but I dominated that match more than you did. And oh, I WON.
Sportsmanship fail. What happened to IRL tournaments being fun? We can only speculate until the MW videos are up.

Can I just put a word in here?
Obviously noone likes me here, because I have an odd feeling that noone even regards me opinion.
I wouldn't really say that was true. You might just be going under the radar a little bit. I did that with my bot building a little while back. =) I agree with MNB too, I'd say you were one of the better newcomers that have shown up recently.

Don't tempt the Naryar.
WARNING: Do not feed the Frenchman. Doing so disrupts his mental cycle, and he becomes liable to excessive banning. And that's not good.

You've got the Mechavore disc, which is pretty good (360, anyone?)
Or War Bastard- that took Third Place in the MW Division last time around
Damn you, 360 only manages fourth. It's wierd how we always go at each other's throats before the tournament starts, and yet we have never once fought each other outside of the Home Nations tournament. This might be a good chance for us to, in the HW bracket. =)

My LW and HW both took around an hour each. I was kinda rushing out the door to help my mum with the shopping, since she had a bad cold at that time. On another note, how does my MW look compared to Mike's? I'm really not expecting to get through.
I think it'll be reasonably close. Mike might just edge it, though. You've got the Mechavore disc, which is pretty good (360, anyone?), and you might be able to get his teeth off, but it does have Normals, and his weapons don't, so I reckon he's going to be able to cause more damage overall. You'll definitely be giving it a good try, though.

I'd rather lose in the first round and win a best looking bot award
Same here. Though there's no harm in going for both. =P

I respect Naryar. I respect him taking time out of his day to keep a small online forum in check, I respect his bluntness when he needs to rein in a flame war or something similar. I respect his contributions to Robot Arena 2, and how far he's managed to advance it. That doesn't necessarily mean I have to like him, though. He's fun in his own sinister way, and also slightly up himself since he got the GMod spot, but I still respect him. That's my standpoint.

Don't know how the combat side of things is going to go considering my draws, but I think I've done alright in the realism aspect, as have several of the others. I think that's good to see- that crap entries like Garvin's are not going to be tolerated this time around.
No offence, Boss. But why are you still bawwing over Garv?
I wouldn't consider it bawwing, personally, it might be that he takes IRL building quite seriously, but Garvin entered by far and away the least IRL robot ever submitted into an IRL tournament. It was basically a substandard DSL bot, and he got the last spot in the tournament, meaning GF93 couldn't enter with what he'd built. When he saw what it was, he was appaled - as we all were - and a few of us went so far as to call for his robot to be removed from the tournament, and replaced with GF93's. Eventually it went ahead as it was, and Garvin lost in Round 1. I think that's kind of what sparked the recent "restrictions" on IRL building. They're not really proper rules, though. But he should be able to do pretty well here. I reckon his bots look quite good, especially with the way all the stuff matches up on the heavyweight. Touches like that make a good IRL robot into a great one. =)

Naryar's discussion on the previous page confused me. Therefore, it must be correct. =D
Nah, but in all seriousness, if members don't show any signs that they're going to learn, and just continue throwing flame bait out there, regardless of where it is, then I'd probably ban them for a while as well. And I'm the nice guy.

I've not played DKR. It looks all cartoony and mad, I might have to give it a try. 027, please don't throw out wild accusations like that, you're just going to get jumped on like last time. And we don't really want that.

I wonder if he means havoks that alter the course of the matchup. Like in BBEANS, when that robot got its entire weapon rack got taken off with a havok. Thought if that's what he meant, then he should have said so. I was wondering why there wasn't a havok restart as well.

Ah, K-Nex robot. Framework doesn't really look too bad, it could work if it was built IRL.
I'd go for Trauma, personally. Revolution seems a little bit cliche'd for a spinner.

Yeah, but I veered off to the right against SKBT as well, just the camera wasn't t the right angle to catch it. And I'd be happy with that, I suppose. It might be because there's not many participants, and there was that gap where nothing really happened for about a month. Should pick up again, hopefully. =) Sorry about that, DSC.

Good move, Nar. It's a shame that myself and S_M were matched up in the first round. I didn't want to take such a great looking bot out of the tournament so early on. Conraaa, is it? Should be a pretty good match. I thought Frogspawn got horrendously unlucky with the Killsaws there, I'm still confused as to how it could get thrown THAT far...
