To bring this back, I might give a special mention to Chaos 2- still right up there as one of my all-time favourites, right from when I first started watching it. It does disappoint me to think that everyone lost faith in it because of its later days, but back in its prime, it was in a class of its own.
It was the only RW Champion to successfully defend its title, had the most consecutive wins (at 19, IIRC), and was the original pioneer of OOTAs and gas-powered flippers on the whole, being one of the very first ones designed not to lift, but to throw.
Even to this day, I definitely consider it to be one of the legends of RW and robot combat in general, no matter how many fancy titles Razer was set up to win in comparison. Simply awesome.

I haven't had fish fingers in ages. Arbroath Smokies are seriously tasty, though, you need to try some if you're ever in that particular area. =D Only problem is picking out the tiny bones.

Yeah. It's a shame that he edged you out with a substandard DSL bot that probably couldn't beat COID. Good job he appears to have vanished. Personally, I think there's still a few things needed to be ironed out with the IRL building style that some users exploit (*cough*Naryar*cough*), but on the whole it's moving forward. =) It's better than just a wall of razors, in my view. Be good to see who comes up with what for this one.
Yeah. To be honest, I see no reason why it should have even been considered for the tournament, and I'm just as glad as anyone that he's gone. But yes, that's why I like the IRL and replica styles- there's more to it than just spamming one weapon over and over, allowing to actually build designs that are like the ones on the TV. Hence, once I host my first tournament, I'm planning for it to be a HW IRL one, with side-events a bit like those of RW Extreme. Its concept name is the GF Cup.

Yeah, it should be good now that the rules on what can and cannot classify as IRL have been finalised- prevents people from entering things like Garvin's piece of scrap in BB1. I still think that I could've kicked a hole in the side of that... thing in one go.

There's a few spaces left in the LW bracket as well. Why does everyone build for MW and HW with tournaments like this?
Excellent- keep the rivalry going  And yes, I might go for that if I can. I think it's because the MW and HW brackets offer a good enough amount of weight to build something close to the robots you see on Robot Wars and Battlebots, but doesn't leave you so much weight you're left wondering what to do with it.

Sorry about that, mate- on the bright side, there's still plenty of SHW spaces, so I might build for that, too. If we both get our entries in on time, do you think you'll be up for a little spar once we're in there?

With regards to the Sonic games, it's an odd case for me. I like several of the games, in particular the older titles (and for some reason, I've got a Metal Sonic figurine on my computer), but I absolutely despise the fandom.
It seems to consist entirely of whiny little brats who are never satisfied with anything, disgusting furry scum who draw porn of it 24/7, unoriginal recolour "artists", and Christian Weston Chandler, of whom less said the better.
