Ah, okay ......... thanks, didn't know that. I still think this one would be fun to build, though.

Originally my post, I can bump it....
Has anyone figured out how to recreate the compactor in the compressor arena, or is that part of the .exe? That would be a nice addition to a new arena - I love that obstacle.
I'm going to start playing around with the floor skin for the compressor arena, see if I can add oil-stains, tire marks, generally make the whole floor look dirty. I'll post a picture or two when I get finished.

This arena looks like a combination of the original RA2 Combat Arena and the Aon2 Arena (the death pit). Either way, it's a nice arena ...
Hey, Goose, Click, FB: is there any way to modify the Combat Arena to have the pit like this? I think this would be a cool idea for a new arena.

Ah, okay. Thank you, Click, I haven't messed around with DSL enough to remember that .... mostly been on an all-stock kick lately .....

How did you make the arena infinite? Does the game engine loop the arena somehow when you get outside a borderline and when you are driving forward the game engine just adds one loop to the count and when you turn back it removes one loop at a time when you have driven pass it and you finally get back to the arena when the loop count goes to zero?
Wow. Long sentence. :D Ummmmm............. yeah........... I think what Weedy's trying to ask is: Is the arena on a rolling loop? If you drive for a while, does the loop eventually come back around to where you started from, like a bunch of other games do? Might not be exactly what he's asking, but that's what I got from it .....

But if you don't click on the armor tab, you've got DSA armor, which weighs a lot less ......

The E-teks are just going to be flatter. Right now they're about as tall as they are wide, while real E-teks are more pancake-shaped (like Perms).
Also, I'll only be able to make Apollyon for DSL if it's a real bot by then. I can't work off of renders; there's not enough detail. Very cool. Hey, Mike, maybe draw up a set of blueprints of Appollyon for CB and FB. Hell, I might go into DSL myself and try it, but I'd need to add a custom flamethrower .... like Lu-Tze's mini flamer or something.

Will the E-Teks be downsized to approximately the normal size of a Z-Tek?
I definitely want to see Apollyon built, complete with flamethrower. That would rock .......

Yup. As long as the anti-ballasts are in place, your bot will freak out.

Nice work on the sleuthing, Mad. I'm sure Click, FB, and the others doing the events will be much appreciative of it. I wouldn't have had the patience to do all that ....

Now that is a cool design. I'd like to see the movie too, please, especially in battle.

Nice designs, dude .... going to try making them in the game, as well? It looks like they should work well...

Any robot can be "taken down," destructo. You can't build a perfect design that will win every time ....

Did it work, or are you still getting the end of archive message?

Nope, the only announcer worth a damn is Larry "The Supermouth" Huffman. THAT guy can give a commentary .....

Baseball bat's been done already - I think DarkRat made one, or Slider did ... Anyway, there IS one, not to mention the Wham! bat in DSL.
Taser - someone made an electro-sledgehammer (useful as a battery, too), and electro-pointy tips.
Breaks (brakes?) - just hit your reverse button ....

I think what ^^^ means is "anti-BALLASTS", as in "something that removes weight from your bot chassis". "Anti-balance" is beer, hard liquor, or a good clout to the side of the head, which can and usually does mess up your balance .......

Hmmm.... could you see about posting a few pictures of those, Mike? Someone should be able to build them if they're not too difficult.
