a video made with the intention of showing how JACKalope works

most notably how it works. with the strategy being t flip the opponent while the bot rolls over and the tail comes into play

works. sometimes.

also getting stuck on it's side is a thing.

gotta work on that.

LW: use a disc, would look better
MW: A lil plain but it's okay. Could use better skin
HW: Random flippermakers popping out look weird
SHW: I like it. Looks great save for the flipper makers at the end of the bar attaching the hammer

I think I might have said it before, but just replace the grey with a metal texture of about the same shade, and put the text and decals over that, and that should help the skin look less empty.
Very easy to do in paint.net, but shouldn't be that much harder in normal paint either.
Robot itself still looks very cool though.

ye you did.

was lazy to do it. when i find a tourney i can enter i'll start brushing and polishing them all

Nightmare style legs are already heavy on their own, but to build them so they're invertible would mean another set on top. If you're looking to build a vs in general, I strongly suggest you use Heavy Metal Noise styled supports as they seem to be the most efficient.

However, nightmare styles legs are not completely out of the question. A little difficult, but not outta the question. Easiest way is to use flipper makers and tack on extenders or shell panels to make it look less skeleton-y. Like I did with my own Nightmare knockoff, Venum 2.

If you're also looking for huge knock back power like nightmare had against warrior skf's minibots, heavier weapons are advised.

And it's really dangerous... Growler heads are the bomb.

-as fast as granny chainsaw
-not invertible
-plastic 1
-lmao

Thank you, and I aleredy had done one simular, a long while back, though sadly, due to the limits of the game, there wasn't any way of gearing it to drive three wheels with two motors, it all had to be directly drivien, so had like eight total motors in it to power everything.

actually, there are axles where you can place wheels and they freely rotate. most builders discourage this however as axles (+ the free moving wheels) are a waste of weight. However for IRL and aesthetic purposes, I think it's a more than welcome idea

Can I be the 1st to say I ****ing love Kenny Florian (Color Commentator)?

He actually said in an interview he was quite the Battlebots fan back in the day, and wanted to do the role.

Best part is he had to teach Chris Rose about some of the Robot Combat Basics/History, and on his Twitter he corrected someone's screwup on Robot Combat History.

That's really cool! I have some more respect for him now.

tbh when i found out he was going to be a commentator i was really surprised. like, he's really cool and all but i didn't know he was a battlebots fan

You never know what kind of damage could be caused by any hit of any kind. That's why late hits are explicitly banned, imagine if the hit knocked a battery loose and it shorted out, frying the internals. An exaggerated example of course but you never know what damage you can cause.

Still, Hudson did at least try to apologize.

Was glad that they did shake his hand after the decision announcement tho.

Thoughts on today's episode:
-If Nightmare wasn't given the wildcard it really really should've.
-Why Warhead of all bots. WHy.
-Following Complete Control vs. Ghost Raptor, does anyone here happen to know if BB posted an official set of rules? Don't remember Whyachi and the like having to worry about nets...
-Lockjaw's blow after the bell was a lil' cheap. But honestly, what kind of damage could have really been done? Just a couple extra scratches that's it. (Also Lockjaw remains my second pick if Tombstone somehow loses)
-Would appreciate less nonsense next ep. pls
-Tombstone was.... wow.

Ahem. The Deathclaw Gauntlets are kinda sorta better than the Power Fist. Fite me.

for all the effort needed?

the blueprints needed to gather it so that it doesn't start out with pathetic CND?

the ravenous monsters needed to be slain?

yea no.

Power fist can be found anywhere, heck there's a full CND one found in the slaver camp. A quick steal.

it is a cooler weapon, but the effort needed is a little too troublesome imo

Or you purchase The Pitt and you do the main questline, getting a pair for absolutely free.

aint rich yo. dont have that kinda skril

I use stealth more often than not

pffff girly

Hmph, barbarian.

Melee Weapons and Unarmed are the best weapon skills.

Big Guns and Energy Weapons are OK because they have some nice toys in it. But less viscerally satisfying (and not to mention less manly) than the two above.

And I suppose it is ok if you use stealth to kill opponents in melee, like a ninja. Otherwise...

Unarmed and Melee I prioritize. Never leave without my bladed gauntlet, or in 3's case, power fist.

look at this.

i hate it.

1 plastic and 3 ants.

it's an anorexic mw, not an lw.

it doesnt even have an active weapon.

but i am happy i could finally make claw wheelguards.
