It's funny because the devs made this new gun to nerf flyers by only allowing it to be placed on top of the bot. They might have failed to realize that with the help of ballast cubes you can make an inverted flyer and have the gun pointing down.

If anything plasma will make virtually no difference because Flying Laser Rectangles will still dominate this game.

Plasmas have insane range compared to lasers, so with a bit of target practice you can take them out and stay safely way out of range of their lasers. Plasma flyers on the other hand, is what concerns me.
Look, flyer controls range, they don't need "insane" range to kill a gunbed, they just need..... 2 more meters, like say if they use front mount instead of top mount.

I know that. I think you misread my last post. It's not the flyers that need insane range but the ground units that have plasmas have a huge range advantage compared to laser flyers. So they can shoot them out from a distance with a bit of aiming practice.

Of course if you are picked as their target you'll have a hard time aiming the plasma guns or fail completely but you still have your teammates backing up. There will always be one player that will be serve as bait while the others try shooting the flyer down. Everyone wants to get of rid of them so someone will surely back you up.
You can be a plasma and be picked first by the flyer but what are the odds of having just one plasma in your team?

The real issue is having plasma flyers. Those stay way out of the lasers range, plasma ground units will have a near impossible task to shoot them down and the flyer will safely bombard us to pieces.
Do remember that a laser is instantaneous and a plasma cannon is not, and can be dodged with more ease as the range increases.

This goes both ways.

True, buuuuuut flyers need to stay relatively still to aim properly. I know it from personal experience.

No, Higher Tier increase earning.  I can just base rush and earn 2k at Tier 8 without firing a single shot.

Didn't know that but I know that better components do appear to give more RP if destroyed. In one battle I destroyed a red/blue cubed enemy. I lost that battle but I gained insane amounts of RP compared to the usual.

It's not about tier but about the components' level used. Higher tiers logically have bots with better guns, armor and so on. Destroying better equipment gives you more RP than destroying less upgraded stuff.

It's not the kills or base captures that give you the most earnings. It's the amount of cubes you shoot off.
Also, how do they figure Bravery points?

Well I have a theory about that. While playing with another guy that was interested in some physics testing, I noticed that you can't quit the game under enemy fire (thank god). So I suppose that at the same time you start earning bravery RP, which is basically how long you survive while under fire. I don't know exactly how much you earn at a given moment but it should also vary according to the tier you're in.

The only GTM member I really managed to play with was TBD and that was about a week ago I guess. The rest were random encounters with Koss, mystic and 123 so far.

123: Technically you already have enough guns for the max firepower of 5 shots per sec. When it comes to gun survival, that's another matter.
That's a sweet build, m8. Looks very solid and appears to take quite some punishment.


My IronClad is now fully orange and so I'll slowly begin the transition to blue and some specs of red. Also equipped it with better weaponry.

Hovercraft just isn't that good until end game where you can lift 5 layers of unconnected armors.  Slow and Hovering really just spells "shoot me plz".

True. Most of the times I get targeted 1st but I have speed and surprise on my side. My IronClad can outrun most of the hovers and ground vehicles around.
Without speed my ship is useless

Yeah, went to troubleshooting, fixed that.

Also I never get any kills. I must suck at firing.

Aiming is hard. It needs some practice. You could try taking the lateral paths and and attack others from behind. It's the tactic I use because my ship isn't made for frontal assaults

I updated robocraft but it keeps getting error messages about it being not updated :(

If the download got interrupted in any way, it can corrupt your game. Re-download and re-install it.

The blocks you're using are heavy blocks. They have the same armor/HP as the lighter white ones. Their only purpose is for ballast. You're only slowing down you vehicle with those.

Yeah, most of the big flyers out there use their own thrusters as armor. They are incredibly tough.

I can say it's pretty hard and I wasn't successful building one. It needs perfect balance to stay leveled. Any part shot off will completely destabilize it. That's why most flyers around are small and compact.
Challenge Accepted

Although being a nice ride for its tier, challenge failed. Flyers are somewhat easy to make but a flyer in the shape of a plane is not. I can't see the plane there.

Also I hope they tune down the headlights flare because it's ridiculously bright, specially in day time.

Also an update on my IronClad. Gradually but surely becoming orange. I also bought the best of the front guns placed in the prow of the ship. Marvelous gun but I still don't use it because I don't feel ready for tier 4 yet. If I remove the big gun, I go back to the very limit of the tier 3, so you can see how much space that gun takes up.

Pilot can fit on left/right/back, though the back is specifically made obvious so it works as decoy.  Everything I used is the cheap version so it doesn't take away from my main design.

Hey! I've seen that today! that very same design! In the ice map! I tried to get into your cube but I was just wide enough to not fit.
