Green Pea kind of reminds me of a praying mantis.

Also colored DSL discs when :V

Followed up on 090901's suggestion, and added a little red trim to Carbonize. I think it works, improvements could be made, but I still like the look of it overall. Also, gratuitous ass shot. The flail-tail was removed to allow weight for the rebuilt srimech/hood.

I'm now posting a few 'colour' experiements from the past week or two. Might be some reposts from the Discord here, calm down.
First is BIGBLUEBOY, which originally had 4 sets of treads, rammed like a train, but unfortunately also turned like one. I may rebuild in the future.

Next is CryogeniXs (I dont know why I like the second capital in the name all of a sudden.) Rebuilt with the new aluminium armour, which took about 70Kg off the weight. Still not a great bot either, but another learning experience.

Red Baron is a Middleweight that will **** your day up with that rotating drum. The front slope is a little too complex though, but does like to wedge under people quite nicely.

Finally, Green Pea. The first Beetleweight i've ever attempted, so there's going to be things wrong with it. But I like it.

Hope people don't flip their sh** about there being more than one bot being posted. I know it's apparently a sin nowadays.

Modifications / Re: IRL Components - Pack Two: Armour Released
« on: October 15, 2016, 12:18:22 PM »
PACK 2 has been updated to fix the issue with Titanium plates, plus minor other fixes and spelling corrections.

Please re-download and install. Click YES to overwrite old files. This will NOT cause issues with pre-existing builds.

With something like this, it should be fine to overwrite the files from the IRL Pack 2, and not interfere with any bots that have previously been made. Mainly because nobody can build with those components, so it will only affect those broken ones.

Still three spots unclaimed, but i've been using the time wisely.

Still a few things to tweak, but the "Sands of Time" prize hammer is coming along nicely. The caps make it about 2/3 longer than a regular DSL Sledge or Hammer.

Seems like you're annoyed cause you have to redownloding it
Indeed, 3MB is not a big amount of data to download, so there's no need for me to scatter tiny fixes and updates around, when reuploading the mod means it's 1 download per pack. Simples.

Something happened in this update that removed the problem I was having with it, so thumbs up from me there. :thumbup
The weapons-binding generator is a nice feature too.

That is your choice, not mine.
Correct, it's my choice. And it's the one that makes the most sense.

You can just send a patch with every MAIN txt files (no need to reupload gmf-s or txt files in styles foolder as they are perfect)
The whole mod is 3MB to download, patching it is pointless when I can reupload a whole working mod, and it means no chasing around of patches and fixes.

I will take a look and re-upload the files tonight. It may be a simple fix but it could also affect a lot of files.

I can't say i've seen any re-entries from people, everyone seems to have made something specific, which is the goal, and is also reassuring to know there's a number of different approaches being tried.

ONLY THREE SPOTS REMAIN THOUGH! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!! MORE TIME PUNS!!!

I'll see if I can come up with something. Does the middle of the bot spin, or is it open?
There's a gap between the bottom disc and the 'clock' disc, yes.
Well, this gave me an idea... I might not do so badly after all...

Well time is now ticking, as 6 of the 12 positions have now been filled!

Here is the evolution of the whole "Carbon Copy/Carbonizer" Dynasty of robots. Some were for looks, some were for the awesome Battlebots tournaments, and some are fresh and new.

Wow, that looks awesome as hell! I love the lifting arm in particular, it really has a scorpion-like feel to it. Kinda reminds me of the Series 5 version of Wild Thing. Looking forward to seeing it in action!
The scorpion thing is more than just coincidence. Carbonize started out life back in 2010 or 2011 as a Warhead-style SHW, and evolved many times since then.

Beefed this up for Swords, as the IRL Plates are now legal. GO UPDATE YOUR BOTS IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, it's made me anxious and I made the damned things.

Wheels optional, it's just the regular Slap Happy wheels are a bit too obvious.

I encourage anyone to give it a try, as in tests it was not undefeated. It was beaten by some capable MW bots, and also some surprising MWs too.
