I would recommend downloading a truly free tool instead. 7-zip is pretty good.

Did he create the account and you guys found out, or did he tell you, or did you tell him to create a new account? If a player wants to appeal a ban after sufficient time has passed, I see no problem with them contacting forum staff and requesting a second chance. New accounts are not in anyway the answer. As I said, if it was decided that he should have a second chance then go right ahead, I have no problems here. He's only had a few posts so time will tell. 326

When someone is permabanned it means that community staff decided that the individual was no longer welcome on the forums. The matter of which "account" they log in with is irrelevant. All accounts of the individual should have the same applied to them (especially as multi accounting is also banned right?).
In every community that I have been is a staff position I've encountered people making new accounts to circumvent permabans and have simply re-banned then and IP-banned where possible. If a player wants to appeal a ban after sufficient time has passed, I see no problem with them contacting forum staff and requesting a second chance. New accounts are not in anyway the answer. 327

DSL TC Showcases / Re: SM's DSL off-topic-case« on: May 04, 2016, 12:17:46 PM »![]() Well, 2nd isn't too bad. At least someone thought I was Click again. I spent so long on the splash which is based on the Bourne Identity box art which I don't think anyone noticed. But I couldn't think of a cool bot design so just threw that thing together. Yeah, so as I said in the BOTM thread I just needed a robot to put on the splash. It really sucks in battle and doesn't have nearly enough weapons. I just don't really have an idea of what to use in DSL 2.2 right now. 329

Congratulations to the Steg bot builder. It's super cool even if the Splash is lacking imo. (It's Bot of the Month, not Splash of the Month after all). 330

Hope that helps.I never considered Hredder to be notable. I'm amazed you remembered it. just put that 1wd one you entered in that one tourneyYeah, I had Dark Void in there. I guess it's a bit infamous now :P V=IRLooks like the 2 I have are pretty much it then :P I would have hoped to have been remembered for more. In other news I'm shocked by how many tournaments I've won and I'm yet to even finish my list. 332

I was wondering if you guys could let me know what robots come to mind for you? 333
Tournament Archives / Not Quite Chinese Whispers [Inactive]« on: May 03, 2016, 09:08:17 AM »
This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. Basically a crossover between NQRW and Chinese Whispers.
Of course I'm not sure how it would work in terms of components allowed but I was thinking we could have a couple of replicas allowed per team and have certain replicas banned. E.g. Each team may veto 2 replicas from the pool of available components. Then each team may choose 2 from those remaining. I'll need to write up a full set of rules but it should be DSL 2.2 HW with teams of 4 or 5 depending on numbers. So, should it happen? I'm open to format suggestions and ways to control overpowered replica components. 334

Your build style is really not suited to the Stock meta. These bots would work so much better in DSL.

I can't test for myself as I don't have access to a PC right now. Do you have the same issue with other ai's popups (for example those that came with the AI pack). If so it might be an old version of the AI. I'm sure popups work fine in BBEANS AI if you want to look at that.

So once a bot is on top of the popup it no longer fires? That's never happened with popup.py for me. What's your AI line?
