If I had the weight would NPC-fasts be overkill? ;)

When in doubt, use an extender.

TP-2H got rebuilt again, now as TP-2M Cybernova.
What happens when you use two NPCs instead of two Drive TWM3Rs on a Face Spinner!?
CARNAGE.

Technical data:
3 ant batteries
2 NPC 'Left's
Tornado wheels
Weapons: Four spikes on a disk
Weight: 247.8 kgs
1 mm titanium
Hit range: 20-???
Highest hit: 350+

Main points:
+ Gut ripping!
+ SPEEEEEEEED!!!!
+ Motors no longer exposed
... Decent wedge
... Invertible
- Very poor armor
- Unstable if turned over
- Has no srimech

Using Piglets for drive motors are a really bad idea, for almost half of the Piglet's weight you could use Copals and probably be able to go much faster. Also, you might want to use two ant batteries instead of a battlepack at this point since they are much lighter and at least as powerful if not more. You should probably also use a multiextender to attach the front weapon, without any other extenders unless you want more weapons, of course.

However small wedges on burst motors like you have are the best wedges you can get in DSL and go under every other type of wedge if built well... so it's your choice.

I find that when weight becomes an issue that metal hinges are more efficent...

First I might shrink the chassis and use plastic so I can maybe get 6 maces instead of this stupid 3 maces setup. Also, does anyone know of the "blue snappers"? I've heard these were much lighter than the green ones I used.

As the thread title suggests, ALL bots that I post in this thread SUCK.

I will admit that I do not know how to stack.
I will admit that I cannot beat EMERGENCY with a LW.
I will admit that my stock bots have more empty space than space itself.

But enough of me admitting things, here's an absolutely appalling LW HS:

Discussion / Easiest and Hardest DSL Remake?
« on: May 26, 2009, 09:50:12 PM »
My opinion:
Easiest LW: Roly Poly, Raving M.A.D., Insane Beserker (lawl 1 hit it's almost dead)
Hardest LW: Mangy Mutt (tabletop only!), 360 Arc Pounder, Civil Uprising

Easiest MW: The Boxer Returns, iNsAnItY
Hardest MW: Slashback, VENGEANCE

Easiest HW: Second Sentinel
Hardest HW: SnowJob (tabletop only!), Grog the Vengeful

battery overkill, 5 ants would be enough

Even with 3 battlepacks the power towards the end of three minutes tends to be very scarce...

The all-new TP-2H POW Armor II...

Face spinner with gut ripping capabilities, and it's way better than the mega-lame TP-2.
Only one problem:
1mm plastic.

The R9 Arrowhead was also updated to "R9-Aii Arrowhead DELTA".

Same as the TP-2H but in MW R9-looking form.
Very fast...

DSL... Hypno and Tornado wheels.

I think that without even stacking, that you have the room for at least two SuperVolts (try removing some of the pinks and relocating the airtank). You also have some weight left over, maybe add some weapons?

Most of the DSL HWs just *barely* fit between the individual spikes and the front disk weapons, so effectiveness is surprisingly good (but not good enough to be tournament material).

Not always: the individual spikes are often the first weapons to be ripped away. Against bots like Industrial Coal Miner and WIIDE LOAD, almost all of the spikes are useful. The disk spikes rip away at the frontal weapons, while the individual spikes will damage the external armor for the enemy bot (if there is any). As the damage to the other bot racks up sometimes they end up driving up R-13's spikes.

But that doesn't matter at all, because against bots like Shebeast and Mako, R-13 is like a little schoolgirl.

A "team" that is a work-in-progress.
"TEAM IREM" is a team whose robot designs are loosely based on the company IREM's game series, "R-TYPE". There is no really particular theme in the type of robot designs; although R-13 Cerberus and POW Armor are both intended to be face spinners, R-9 is a poker/thwacker "hybrid".

TP-2 POW Armor

First on the lot is the lightweight bot, "POW Armor".
He utilises two iron spikes powered by Piglets, to use the "chicken glitch". Originally he did not have a skirt hinge, but he bounced backwards when hitting other bots. Personally better to have a 'redundant' skirt hinge than to bounce backwards, in my opinion?

Technical Data:
4 'ant' batteries
2WD SLIMBODY
Hypnodisc wheels
Weapon: Two chicken drills
Weight: 246.6 kg
1 mm titanium chassis armor + 1 40x40 DSL BAR for front protection
Hit range: 10~?
Highest hit: 100+

Main points:
... Decent weapon damage
... Decent speed
- Cannot get under other bots from the front very well
- Not invertible
- Fragile weapons
- Highly unstable

R-9 Arrowhead

Second is the team's middleweight, R-9 Arrowhead.
His chassis looks a little bit like the "real" R-9 Arrowhead in the R-Type series. It looks cool, but in reality the RA/DSL version of R-9 is a somewhat awkward thwacker of sorts. For some odd reason, poking isn't always a very effective weapon use. But at least he looks cool, right?

Technical Data:
3 battlepacks and an ant battery
2WD NPC-FAST
Tornado wheels
Weapon: Two DSL HAMMER 2s, powered by a VDMA piston
Weight: 395.9 kg
3 mm titanium
Hit range (poking): 40~?
Hit range (thwacking): ?~400+
Highest hit (poking): 250+
Highest hit (thwacking): 500+

Main points:
+ It's fast
+ Durable weapons
+ Can be used two ways
+ Invertible
... Chassis shape is unusual
- Huge chassis award
- No skirt or metal hinges for skirt panels
- Huge wheels
- Inconsistency in delivering damage

R-13 Cerberus

Last but certainly the one that fares much better in it's class than others, a heavyweight face spinner, R-13 Cerberus. With 10 spikes on the two discs and 3 iron spike drills, plus 4 razors, R-13 Cerberus might be something of a problem for newbies. His design allows for some gutripping ability with some bots! However, he gets exhausted quickly.

He cannot KO most bots within the 3 minutes. Due to his design, sometimes he can gradually overturn a bot, and cause the other bot to become immobile. That doesn't stop R-13 from being powerful while it can, though.

Technical Data:
4 battlepacks and six ant batteries
2WD NPC-FAST
Tornado wheels
Weight: 791.2 kg
5 mm titanium
Hit range: ?~150
Highest hit: ?

Main points:
+ Weapon constantly does damage
+ Durable weapons
+ Decent "wedge"
+ Lots of weapons
+ Can gut-rip
... Decent speed
... Poor invertability
- Low battery life
- Big chassis (same as R-9!)
- Virtually no side/rear protection
- Not durable for it's class

If I'm right, the Ice Cubed Robotics team is still in DSL, but that they have bots different from the list you gave (Tornado was one of the bots on the team).
