If you have to ask if you're still a dick, the chances are you're still a dick.

Game Boy
Game Boy Color Game Boy Advance SP Nintendo DS PsOne PS2 Nintendo Wii Xbox 360 PC/Laptop Apart from the PsOne (Which I took to my dad's house one time and I haven't seen since) I'm pretty sure I still have all of these somewhere. 3143

Does remind me of Orac from Series 2, with that high ground clearance. But it's skinned pretty well, I think. Perhaps the scales are slightly too small, that might be it. Good work, though, it's not unbalanced or anything, is it?

Oh yeah. I don't want to bump a decent entry out of the bracket, though.

I still have to make my SHW. I've got the rest of my team sorted out, though. I'm just praying signups don't open while I'm asleep.

Does look like a pretty good design. Skin's a bit simplistic, but the basic layout is there. Good work. =)

General Support / Re: help ples« on: November 26, 2011, 02:21:36 PM »
It would, but it would take about 6 weeks to transfer the stuff properly. Hence why a .zip or .rar file is generally better, it saves on memory, and therefore time. Just save the RA2 in a .zip file if he's not able to .rar it.

Does look pretty cool. Flipper, I take it?

It looks like it might cut into it, yeah. But adding the support has done a great service for its appearance.

I do like the looks of that flipper. If it had a good skinning job, rather than leaving it gray, it would look even more awesome. I've not tried a 4WD MW Flipper, though, it'll be interesting to see how that affects its controllability.

Okay, just add a support underneath it then.

The spinner at the back would look better with some supports for the Perm.

LW: Looks like a pretty good design. Looks like Metal Hinge wedges, though...
MW: Again, looking very nice. Can't see much wrong with it. HW: Interesting idea. Be interesting to see if it actually works. SHW: Looks deadly, if a little bit messy. 3155

Looking very, VERY nice there. Looks a bit like a stealth fighter jet or something.

It's as low a stance as I can get without the weapons hitting the ground.
And there'll always be people building DSL Realistic, it's just that there's quite a flux of IRL tournaments just now, mostly courtesy of freeziez. Like there was a bunch of DSL MW tournaments a few months ago. People mostly build for whatever tournaments are around at the time. 3158
Tournament Archives / Re: Battlebots 5« on: November 26, 2011, 06:03:28 AM »
I'll probably re-enter The Highlander and Cage Of Mirrors with a few tweaks. LW, not too sure, SHW, no idea.

Tournament Archives / Re: Battlebots 5« on: November 25, 2011, 07:15:20 PM »I think we do a disservice to tournaments like this by not actually defining what IRL realistic means. Personally, the voting system seems like the most rational solution at this point, because getting everybody to agree on what "IRL realistic" means would likely be impossible. I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from, I wouldn't want to turn a discussion about a tournament entry into a personal attack. But I do think you're right about the "spirit" of IRL building being so vague, it's hard to come up with a hard set of guidelines that please everyone, or don't unintentionally outlaw certain styles of robot. Voting system does seem to be the best method at the moment, short of the host being allowed to reject entries at his whim. Which I don't think would go down too well. Looks like I'll have to try to build some stuff tomorrow. Damn time zones. 3160
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Nicsan's DSL Showcase (Mostly IRL)« on: November 25, 2011, 06:55:39 PM »
Only thing I can think of would be to make the chassis a bit wider. It'd line up with the wedge a bit better, and hide the NPC axles that you've got sticking out at the moment. Apart from that, it looks like a pretty decent bot. =)
