Yea, Nar. This way you can still have 4 bots competing. They're actually arena objects, assigned wheels, weaponry and whit (directions), and have various levels of effects on the competitors (bot files) they encounter.
Sure, Joe. Don't often get help. Just don't do it "defiantly" please..., hehe. Thanks for the hand.

If it had only one Housebot, then it is a beta version still, Nar. This tweak took a lot of new gmf and py work, some of which may not be compatible with Havoc. General schema: GMF: All the bots have at least 4 Hinge_constraints on the same geomobject (for wheels); add to this that the geomobject is mobile in the arena; add again that the gmf assigns certain xyz axial parameters to the wheels which are not followed on a moving/turning geomobject; add to those that some bots have Hinge_constraints on top of Hinge_constraints for weaponry (like a burst motor on another burst motor). Py: The py 'drives' all 4 of those mobile Hinge_constraints (wheels), forward and backward, and the weaponry Hinge_constraint being moved around by the 4 Hinge_constraints (wheels). Then there are 'effects'.... Maybe some of my methods were not the best way to do certain tweaks. If anyone wants to look it through for improvement, that would be nice. But still it works well on my comp. Input is appreciated. I'll send the latest to GK, it will work for some (and I hope most).

I think Mad meant WRL not RAW*
I may be wrong..... it was him and trov who made that arena though
Edit: have you checked that the game can handle this capacity of arenas?
also I will locate the Joust Arena, Joust Arena v2 and KOK Grand Final Joust Arena (if I still have it)
Yea, I meant the WRL arena.... Thanks, Joe. This one has multiple, randomly selected and driven Housebots, that ask a lot of the Havoc engine, IMHO. A few said it glitched sometimes, others said it worked great, NP. It can go out, NP. Maybe it should be beta-ed by a few, but whatever,... it is what it is. Joust v2 was a updated version of LuTze's the center wall was separated and made very low friction made by Mad to help KOK run better (thanks Mad).
the KOK grand final arena was just a reskin of the v2 arena
I have a few more tweaks to do to this one, for multiple joust rounds..., not too tough I think. I'll hop on it and maybe call on Trov too, (been a while since we did a project together) .

If it's the RAW-1 and RAW-2 arenas you guys are talking about, I'm waiting for Wham to do his tourney before releasing RAW-2. RAW-1 arena can be released, NP.

Please give me ideas for components!
How about a 'radar/satellite' dish, with a center electrode, that could be AI-ed as a laser weapon mounted on a SOW servo. Make a cool, yet nasty AI I think... I'll do the py work if you do the dish, Serge. It's 'real' cause the Army has such a weapon, so maybe Nar would like it for this ROFL AI pack...but either way, NP.

That is the issue. Viper's bot is truly nasty in an enclosed arena, but in an effective 'tabletop' arena it doesn't have the traction to not be pushed around by anything else with wheels... I tried to mod an AI.py for it too, but no matter what I had it do it was like driving a car on ice. Nice bot, but wrong kind of bot for this arena.

Looks interesting, Nar. I'll try it out...

Not me.... I know nothing about hacking anything. ACAMS more likely; Texas people, you know... Maybe CB, since he likes to work with bugs... Maybe Kill-343; Massachusetts,... ''nuff sed." *ooops* 'Serge protector' not needed here on GTM. BTW, Joe, you should defrag your c: drive, and delete some of those files to make more room on your HD...., use an optical mouse instead,..., get a legal copy of XP..., and get rid of all those pics ....

You said the same thing to me about a 2 gig or something like that disc?
I don't think you have my address mad :P
Then PM it, DK.

D-7, You can't 'import' a pit, as though it is an entity or object of its own. A pit is just where the floor is not. You need to mod or replace the floor:
1. If you use 3dsMax, then you can make your own, and export it.
2. If you work in the gmf file then you need to shrink the existing floor and then add a couple more cube geomobjects, and arrange them to 'leave a gap' for the pit between them. (Skinning with more than one geomobject for the floor is not easy unless the floor is a plain design). 3. You could look for an arena that already has a pitted floor and import that with all it's peripheral trappings..

Ok, Yod..., NP. If you send me your bot, I'll BFE a smart zone onto it's extender so that it moves with the arm. Thus it will always remain right in front of the swinging piston so that if a bot is within the piston's reach, only then will it fire.

Nice 'medieval' arena, CB. It has a nice atmosphere and ambience about it. Increasing damage on the fence is cool too (though I would increase it exponentially instead of additionally). Nice job. The Seizure arena is, as someone said, really the LSD arena. BTW: Be careful handling some of those entomological specimens,.. a few of them have certain toxicities that can cause one to create psychedelic arenas.... It's better not to give me the RAW 2 arena until Sage wants it released to everyone. But other arenas would indeed be interesting.
This arena is one that Trov and I made special for Sage's tourney work. Got a few more than you already have of mine too... *jumps up waving arms* what about me, you spoke of sending me unreleased stuff a while ago haha, guess I will just wait for GK to release his project then
Yea, I'm nailed. I have your address down under, so expect stuff soon.

Already in. I found an early version of the RAW 2 arena as well. But it doesn't completely work.
I'll send you a complete version... Got a few more than you already have of mine too...

I'm constantly thinking Madiaba is female. Sorry Mad if you're not
Hehe, I is not a female. And I understand the feminine 'a'-suffix thingy, since Greek and Latin are the same... Actually 'madiaba' is a Bantu word from Swahili (half Arabic + half Bantu). It's meaning is an inside joke with a colleague, (look it up for yourself if you want). BOT, please...

I'll find someone to remedy this problem....

Couple ideas: 1. You can code your py to fire the piston a short interval after the burstmotor (hammer).
2. You can attach a SZ to the piston that will move/swing with the arm, and fire only when an enemy is under it's pointytips. (BFE) 3. You can see if you can get a legit return from "self.GetMotorAngle(CompID)" - This returns the angle of a motor in radians, but I've never tried it on a 'burst' motor so not sure what you'll get back. If you get a valid return, then since the angle of the BM is adjustable, you'll also have to play around to find out where you have the parameters of the burstmotor set for your bot's application (start position, and fired position [in radians: 0-6.28]). Here's some basic coding adapted from a servomotor: self.burstangle = self.GetMotorAngle(Component ID) #Find angle of burst motor. if self.burstangle > ?: #If angle of burst motor is beyond it's 'start' position (by whatever amount), self.Input("Fire_1", 0, 1) #Then fire the piston.

GK, if you compress the arena folder and its py, and then send it to me, I'll get to it tonight or tomorrow, NP....(or Joe, Serge, Trov, ACAMS, etc.)
