I literally downloaded Ironforge yesterday and made this bot in 2 hours but the internet died right after the bot's done So yeah here's my first Ironforge bot, Plastic 10, it's designed to kill popups by baiting them to pop their spikes early and then smashing the spikes with the hammer/poking their exposed top

In MW and below you really don't have enough budget to fully commit into 2 styles (in this case a HS/Popup hybrid), so I suggest focusing the bot on a single style (either a HS or a Popup) until you know enough of the game's glitches to shave enough weight to support hybrids

Truth is, i didn't quit this game because of IRL stuff, i quit because i switched laptops, and can't be bothered to redownload everything (I think it was DSL 3 beta, Inf's AI pack, and a bunch of other stuff i forgot that i had). And i'm also really rusty from not playing the game for a couple of months (although i still remember how to do most of the Stock glitches), so can you guys remind me of what i've missed ?

Bloodstained Velvet, DSA and HPZ drive.
i will now start building bots down from team1 to 15 now. just need to fill in some holes and ai a bunch of robots.
How do you stack a CB into a black ? that's the only stack i couldn't do other than the 3 black stack.

Alright, I have two teams done so far, if you can please try and assign them to a class depending on what you think they would suit: (Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.)
Judging from the overall quality of the team, i say that both of them are SCv4 low (V3 bots that got into V4 without any changes), which means that this is class 3. And i think you're job will be easier if you stick to this difficulty standard : Class 1 - Stock AI/RFS AI Class 2 - Starcore 1 plus Starcore 2 Class 3 - Starcore 3 + PYS AI Class 4 - BBEANS AI (except for the middle weights which fall into class 3) Class 5 - INF AI + Restocked I may be wrong so can a vet help me ?

(Image removed from quote.) So, the question is, how do I shave off that 0.4 kg?
(Image removed from quote.) Also, the question is, how do I add about 170 kg? That's a triple stacked black btw. I'm bad at building higher weight classes.
For the Popup, you can try making a poopup (a 6WD popup).

In an attempt to take all your critique and to make an effective gut-ripper, I have created Mole. I was attempting to create an effective FS/Gut-Ripping bot which could lift bots onto the wedge and take them out easily and decided to use a Rabid Pitbull-style design. The bot is rather effective against popups and bots which it can outwedge, being able to pin them and slowly damage the enemy with the irons. However it does have some trouble against HS possibly because they are more likely to knock-off the weaponry of the robot and would repel the bot.
And if you just rebuild the chassis and put the CB on top (no need to stack it with the black) of the black, you'll definitely can get a HPZ.

What about Grade-4 Whiplash from BTTB 3?
Well, just get both the BTTB 1 and BTTB 3 AI pack then. And i never saw that bot.

ALRIGHT this is my first post and i couldnt wait to put on screen my best creation so far, very simple yet effective monster :P created with dsl 2.1 parts, specially designed to destroy GammarazeIII, if driven well, it cant lose to gammarazeIII, well here is DOOM BRINGER
it suffered lots of changes in a single year, so far this is the least mean but most effective design!
(Image removed from quote.)
What do you mean the least mean ? Anyway, pretty promising, but read this first as a tutorial/guide : https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=5739.0And finally, please just make 1 showcase for DSL, and 1 showcase for Stock.

lala has a better wedgie then NWB with 25 matchs played she is
24-1 vs NWB
Now, there are other bots that has wedge's that are even better than NWB's. NWB>Insectoid (Starcore V4)>Hot Wheels (ask Pwnator for this)>Nuclear Fallout (In the BBTB 1 AI Pack).

I noticed that most newbies pick up DSL-IRL building style and never tried something else. This bothers me (and venko), and i just wanted a little discussion about this.

Yep. Motors holding wedges aren't supposed to do anything, they're just there so you can get underneath your opponent. You should only have them firing if you need them to self-right. As for the weapons, you've got quite an inefficient extender setup holding the razors on. What you might want to do is attach two of them in an L shape to the DDT, so you've got three attachment points facing away from the DDT. You might want to try eFFe glitching the razors on so you can have them facing the same way. Basically fire the weapon before you attach it, so that the component will appear to be floating in space when it is attached. This is very useful in this situation, as well as making things like 36HS. =)
Thanks for the tip. Though there are several problems. First of all, I don't know what to do with the remaining weight on the bot, as I cannot fit two more Razors or do anything that useful. The weapons-system is also set up in that way for it to be able to hit the middle of enemy bots, however with the new design it has trouble hitting smaller bots, particularly small-chassis HS bots.
make the wedge's 20cm longer ?
And if you can, fully master snapper loading, and you can make things you can't do without it :
(yes i know the bot's sub par, but that's not my point).
I don't exactly see the point in extending my wedge, honestly. Thanks for the tip about Snapper-Loading though, in spite of how the bot itself already has snapper-loading in place.
Have you tried doing it with something attached to both of the attachment points ?
