Sticking with popups for now:

Tidal Turn

797.6, DSA, 10 razors, and 4 blacks.

Swap the irons with razors, razors do better as popup weapons

With the extra weight you should be able to upgrade the wedges to green snappers.

Are the green snappers better? Because those snappers are just for wedges...

far too much weapon weight on a single DDT.

So, do I replace the irons with razors or lessen up weapons or both?

Most of the time, DDT wedges are better than green snapper wedges, which are better than blue snapper wedges.

You should put razors on 2 DDTS. 4 razors per DDT is the most you should use.

See if you can make it invertible. That's probably its only major weakness.

Good luck AI'ing this.

It doesn't look like the razors would stick out too much when you switch to rammer mode, but am I wrong?

I love how you don't leave a giant amount of empty space in your bot. That's a common mistake for beginners.

Definitely use the DSA glitch rnifnuf mentioned. It will give you more weight to use, and strengthen your bot.

Don't point the extenders down like that. Use the attachment points on the ends of the extenders so the weapons reach out more. You'll also be able to put more weapons on the extenders. If you're only going to have one weapon on each end of the tri-bar, you probably shouldn't use extenders at all. It will waste weight.

You might want to consider using just one weapon motor with more weapons on it.

It's a major improvement from the last one, though.

Definitely replace the lawnmower blade. I would use a tri-bar.

You should change the wheels back to Slipperbottoms. Those, Shiny Hubs, and Rubber Wheels are really the only ones that should be used.

Most importantly, make it as close to the weight limit as possible. You can make changes that require more weight (such as using HP Z-Teks for the drive motors instead of using regular ones) and still have the bot be a middleweight. So you can add almost 70 more kgs of components without it becoming a heavyweight.

Lightweights: 248.9
Middleweights: 398.9
Heavyweights: 800.0

For a beginner, it's a pretty good bot. I see you've mostly gotten space management down.

We now return to our irregularly scheduled program:

Decent LW popup with DSA and stuff. It's got a pretty good wedge (and a CB+Nifty stack that took forever to do)

What I did (and enjoyed) was look through the 'Vote Bot of the Month' threads. They show what makes some bots better than others.

You might as well just say who's active instead of who's inactive.

I just barely got RA2 installed again, so I haven't downloaded Starcore yet.

Anyway, I did an in-game tournament for the heck of it. I destroyed Catfish, came over to the two hammer bots, and saw this:

Competitive diving, mostly 1-meter and 3-meter. I also do ping-pong for fun.

So Cloud 9 wins. I don't really have much to say since I'm not a DSL person, but congrats.

You've got the right idea for connecting weapons on extenders like that, but round ones can save weight for more weapons. Right now, you have a lot of weight left anyway.

With the last three months being Stock, I expected a lot of people to take advantage of this. I'm not a DSL type, so I can't tell how good these are.
