Yay, anime.
Watched the "bye bye butterfree" episode of pokemon the other day with a couple of mates.
If you were part of the proper pokemon generation like me, you'll know what i'm talking about there.
When he traded it for a Ratatta on that Ship?
No, its the Episode where Butterfree find his "lover".
Except Shiny Butterfree isnt pink.
So it was probably a weird-ass foreshadowing of that episode with those pink berries.
...........................
PINKIN' ISLAND, GUISE.
THE HOME OF PINKIE PIE.
*shot*
That episode must have been aired after my Grandmother banned the show for being 'the spawn of the devil' and parental blocked it.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Replace the hammer with a rack of razor tips, 10 weapons do more damage than 1, no matter what.
and 30 Razors can get 20K points in less then 20 seconds, So if I hadn't discovered this on my own; This would have probably been absurdly the best advice I was given all day.

is anyone reading my post titles? lol
No.

Finally you made a showcase. First rule to better building is using less space.
Less space used, small hit-box. That's why, right?

Why are Razors so illogically effective?

They have  the best weight-to-damage ratio among all the small weapons, and they are normal-less (IE the whole surface area of the weapon is defined as damaging rather than say one designated point like the tip of a pole spike)

Pretty much. Razors are the glass cannon of DSL weapons, they deal really high damage if you can get them to good velocities, however they are rather fragile.

And there is nothing illogical about the razor efficiency. When clickbeetle modded all the DSL 2.0 weapons to DSL 2.1, he made them all to have 60000 efficiency (efficiency is (183.3*piercing+100*concussion)/(Hitpoints x Weight)).

Ah, I see now.

Glad to see you building.  You also take the onslaught of advice rather well.  Keep up the good work.
Well if my first bot is getting kills by literally any and every enemy, I obviously needed the advice ^^ Thanks.

get rid of the plow on the hammer and add some sort of wedge.
The plow is already gone, The wedge will not be add'd, because I am done tinkering with a weak design. I am working on other robots now.

Thankyou, everyone, for the advice you've given on that one.

I think I might have just accidentally talked back to Naryar....

I'm sure it'll blow over.

So you're not completely useless after all...

For someone of average intelligence, insight and undestanding it's alright for a first bot posted, but for someone who claims so much IQ it's pretty bad. Your final goal is to get more RA2 credit (and more respect) by making a showcase and posting bots, am I right ? Well... just saying you could have done it better.

Now on topic... you need a double wedge. Remove these casters, they're useless. Also one hammer like this isn't very good. I would use 2 30kg sledges, cause they would deal more damage than 1 70kg one. Add a beater bar if you feel you are suddenly lacking in weapon weight.
Naw, my goal wasn't respect, but thanks for the opinion on such a matter. I'll note (for hopefully the last time neccesary) that IQ is a measure of ones potential, and it does not make one magically know every aspect of a new game immediately, in fact a lot of the advice you just gave was learned rather quickly while spamming Tournaments on RA-2 for about 4 hours tonight. (I'm having fun btw, and totally shouldn't have put this off for 8 months).

The casters are already gone [consult the second image] and as a couple of my opponents already demonstrated, two hammers of less weight are indeed at least triple as effective as my current bot.

I've noticed Flipping bots seem to give me a lot of trouble, so with that my theory that I could make my bots too heavy to lift goes out the Window...

Do you have any suggestions on a way to sabotage that type of enemies tactic?

Why are Razors so illogically effective?

and who are YOU again?
A secret lurker covering as an idiotic Lemon, any else you want to know?
I'd like to know entirely how a lurker actually expects people to respect thier opinion.

Its something I've never gotten, they post so little that noone knows them when they post, so almost noone agree's with the post.

I'm surprised no ones asked to deny us that eit- oh wait, yes they have.
I kind of expecting this to flare up because I haven't started a showcase...
I've been here 8 months and I only just got around to even proving I know how to build a operating robot. I assure you I did not Jump down your throat on the basis of if you had a showcase or not.

I think you're right about singling out members to deny them rep privlieges. Given the Drama Queen tendencies, you will get some posts, or even threads, along the lines of "Why can't I rep? This is <expletive>, you obviously hate me", or things like that. That's the thing about it, the system will undoubtedly be abused much less, but we might end up with more bawwing.
Undoubtedly the ones that tended to abuse the system the most are the ones likely to make such a thread. The Bawwing itself will help Acams figure out whom can/can't give rep.

If you want to attach the snowplough without that messy extender work, use a base plate anchor (for easyness), and rotate it so that it's at the same angle as a snowplough (do this on both sides). Then attach something like a 60cm extender, then attach the snowplough on the end of each extender. if the plough faces upwards, just de-attach the snowplough and the extender, and rotate the extender 90degrees.
Btw, I just noticed this piece of advice, ty again, marked for future reference

Good to see you showcasing.

I'd say remove that plow, it looks cool but thats about it.

Try shrinking the chassis a bit and then you an add more weight efficient wheels.

You could just use one polycarb or more extender on the plows at the front to save weight and be able to add more weaponry.
And this has been kept in mind for future info too. Although I'm done messing with that first robot now.

Alright, duly noted. I made some more changes to that robots design, and then I've went on to build another robot thats doing much better with this extra info.

I will have to go back and fix its batteries though, because having not read the advice here since my last post, its got tons of bat's squished into it, and I'll just fill the empty room with them though.

My new bot racked up 34K point with Emergency before he flung me outa the Arena, that felt pretty epic.

I made most of your changes (and yes Enigma, I notice you said a couple of the things he said, but I didn't understand it until he repeated it in a different way), and this Robot did a lot better the next time.

I just beat my first 3 opponents in a Tournament without being too damaged to heal back to full operation at the end, beat them by margins of 10-20K points.

The fourth one just threw me out of the Arena like I didn't exist, sorta frightening, believe it was called Sentry 2.

LAMBT's new design changes mostly involves using big plows where you told me to, I placed them facing inwards to hopefully hug the opponent (it worked). I removed the bottom things (I thought they were meant to make my robot drive better, guess not as there was no change from removing them).

I also Battery Spammed, because I found a bug that let me squish the batteries inside each other, and it was too good to just ignore...you'll also notice I completely have no AI board, its in a battery.

I also attached a snowplow on top of the hammer just to see what happens, it was surprisingly effective, and gave me extra damage since both the Sledge and the Plow hit at the same time.

Also its even closer to the weight limit ^^

EDIT: btw, I can't get rid of the Big Wheely Wheel's, it allows it to Self right, and your suggested wheel's wouldn't produce the same effect. I will heed that advice in Future robot designs though.

Tite's moar effective.
Also: u only need a few ant batterys. (the orange ones)
Shrink the chayssis as well.
Don't use casters and instead raise up the drive motors. (with ctrl)
If your saying Titanium is more effective; I'm using Titanium, I repainted it the the look of Steel when I was done because I liked how Steel looks more.

Don't I need to match the output needs of my equipment? I'm not certain how a couple aint bateries will accomplish the combines 120 power my supplies needed? I'm certain your correct, your more experienced, buy why does it work that way?

By shrink the chassis, your saying it doesn't need to be so tall, right?

I completely don't understand your last command.

And so it did! I punched in 5 mm Titanium Armor

And a bit of Combat told me that alright, I overestimated its capability, I expect it to just fly through the enemy like Paper I guess.

It worked wonders on self righting me though.

Hi..Yes...Me. That person that doesn't build and takes up more room then SoTG with his idiocy?

Yeah.

So Everyone should have a showcase, right? And thats what I'm going to be bringing you here, my showcase of robots that logically shouldn't be capable of even moving in the first place.

So, first we have Lazy Autohammer Machine/b/Tech, whom from now on will be referred to as LAMBT for illogical reasons.

LAMBT began life as a seemingly pointless pile of scrapmetal, until I found him in the dumpster and decided to throw bolts and screws on fire at it until things HAPPENED.

LAMBT told me "Kujii, one day I wanna be so big that I scratch at the weight limit...if there is one".

And so it did! I punched in 5 mm Titanium Armor, The largest, most threatening wheels I could find, and A big Hammer, because everything is better with Hammers, except for Isaiah Mustafa, he can't be made better.

Punching into the Ring at 794.1 Heavies, LAMBT thought he ruled the world. He crashed into his first tournament and merly Ran his opponent over, whom thanks to thier lack of proper design, was Crushed beneath his superior Weight, and then disarmed of all exterior equipment in about 7 seconds.

LAMBT cheered, and rejoiced, as Kujii repaired it to full strength at the matches end with 24.5 minutes on the clock.

Then the Circuit board hit the Fan... His next opponent was much better designed, and threw him around like the piece of Spam-weight he was.

Escaping from his second match via bad AI (his opponent veered off a cliff), he went back to the repair stations with, according to the creator's Calculator, about 12 hours worth of needed repairs, and not enough time to even re-attach both his wheels.

Sent out with the equivalent of a broken leg, his next opponent crushed him without mercy.

As Kujii ate the pitiful meal he gained as a Reward, LAMBT lamented his fate, he asked Kujii "Why wasn't I good enough?" Kujii, slowly swallowed, then with a casual glance over said "Teehee, Silly, I BUILT YOU...what did you expect :3"

As LAMBT's circuit-board failed him, he wistfully hoped in his next life someone whom knew what they were doing would curve his body with their expert hands...Maybe ACAMS or Sage...anyone but Kujii...
