Oh, didn't realise they work that, I think I ignore skirt hinges too much due to the ease of AGOD with my game.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: SKBT's showcase« on: February 29, 2012, 03:26:22 PM »You mean on a servo?I was thinking just have a Movement range, with the start and end points touching the ground when it was either way up. That's what I did for Halitosis, it's much easier than having a complicated button wiring thing.I see. I'd have it flex upwards more, personally, so it could fight better inverted. I don't really like invertible bots with wedges that only work one way up, when you're upside down, it's a massive hinderance more than anything.Wire it so then the wedge can fall down if it's inverted (I'm assuming skirts work the same as metal hinges when wired, as I haven't tried with them)? And you don't really need it to be that complicated, I believe you could just wire it as a srimech, once it's fired it'll remain hanging, the problem would be if it gets caught underneath of course, but I suppose that fits IRL. 303

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Scorpions Totally EEEEVIL Showcase« on: February 27, 2012, 03:04:52 PM »We're at the point now though where basically, there is one design for each kind of bot, with VERY limited variation.Screw it, what's the point in making something so generic?Because it works. The whole originality thing is worthless if the bot sucks, unless it's an artbot or IRL, which your bot clearly isn't. I don't really want to step into IRL territory, as a chunk of that seems to be circlejerking. 308

Looks awesome, just the chassis ruining the aesthetics somewhat sadly.
When it's inverted though, can you just drive it to gyro spin back again, if you get me? 310

Minimum amount of ants you need to fully power each burst motor:
bsgs need 3 ants Small JXs need 5 ants Large JXs need 7 ants And a BETA burst take at least 21 Ofcourse you don't have to just spam ants, if you are using a lot of burst motors, the pc625 battery is also very good energy for weight and size. 314

It's still crap.
Make a legit bot with car steering for weaponry, and show it beating anything, then i'll be impressed 316

I'll give the skirt idea a go, if it doesn't really work i could always at least move the drive to the back, give it some more survivability.

1) Too much sacrificed simply for HPZ motors there, underpowered greatly anyway, so it's not as if the HPZs will be able to do much damage anyway.
2) Very messy, probably the worst bot here. 3) Alright, different with the disks at least. 4) lolwuut 5) Too generic 6) Nice idea, but it won't work very well in actual combat (from experience i'm guessing it's quite havoky as well), my second favourite here. 7) Got my vote, funny splash, and a different but well built bot, looks like it can fight well two. 8) Cool story bro 320
