What about our fight, lad?

Let me take you on first. I'll make the post now and then we can finish by this evening.

Getting back to the topic at hand...

I just honestly don't think the console will sell well, as much as I like it. I just wish Nintendo weren't so stupid for at looking at the current market and thinking £275 was a good starting point.

It'll outsell the Wii U but I don't think it'll do much more than that.

I have shunned that game forever once I realized that it is one of the worst eurogames ever made (in addition to being a ruiner of friendships for the rest of the night). Now my friend burns his disposable income on better games like Eclipse and Blood Rage.

Either way, that looks like a sweet collection. Got any rare ones that would appreciate over a couple of years?

also is that cd part of some set or something

I've never had a friendship ruined over Monopoly which is weird considering the amount of games I've played of it.

I've got a couple of "rare" ones but most of them are common place which you could find on eBay. The main three rare editions would be the Super Mario Bros Collector's Edition, LPR Edition and Monopoly Millionaire Christmas Cracker Edition.

Nope, but I do have the following: (in terms of digital Monopoly)

Alright, guys, back to Monopoly.

Anyone else have any decent sized collections?
Does this count? (I never asked for these or ever went out of my way to buy them :P)
(Image removed from quote.)

That is fine by me. 4 Official and 2 Unofficial is a good start.

Ill see if ill buy it.. i heared that Sonic Mania will be for switch.. and new Zelda... just hoping  Crash somehow makes an apperance on the Switch..

The only way Crash will make an appearance is via Skylanders. Other than that, you're outta' luck.

The biggest problem I have with this is the price. When I heard about the speculation of the price being under $200, I got extremely excited. That would have been an absolute bargain of a price for this.
Considering that this is a gaming tablet with some pretty advanced tech, it makes sense that the launch price is $300. For comparison, an iPad Mini 4 sells at an MSRP of $400 USD, and has no controllers, no dock (which in and of itself is much more advanced than it appears), etc. Yes, a PS4 and Xbone can be purchased in cheaper bundles at the present time, but the experience they offer is fundamentally different than what the Switch offers.

There's a big difference in the markets though. Apple still has the highest marketshare in tablets. They are able to sell at that price as they are very aware that their largest demographic, the 25-34 year old range, is able to buy it due to their disposable income. Whereas Nintendo, in the home console market, currently doesn't have a high marketshare and needs more people than some of their fanbase which is currently split on buying the console due to the price of it.

Yes, I certainly will agree with you though, the Switch will offer something much different to current consoles. People looking for a change will go for it and I also think that people from the PC market might buy in. A console like this is perfect to take 60 FPS gaming on the go. Something that PC gamers very much care about.

Here's my current for/against points for the console.

Of course, when I heard about its actual price tag, I realised that this console is probably going to under perform in sales.

This doesn't mean I don't like the console, I will probably end up buying one eventually.

Whats a moral victory?

Think of the US Election. Clinton lost the election but she stuck to her values, always was herself and so she could call it a moral victory.

The main question here is: What is your favourite version? Y'know, the version you always crack out with the famalam.

Also, you're missing the Doctor Who ones...

That was three questions in one, hehe. My most played one is probably the Kanto Monopoly but I wouldn't normally play that with my family. The family one right now would be the 80th Anniversary Edition. Has a very nice look to it. Once I get the wooden box edition, that will change. I have no idea what my favourite one is, to be honest. If I get one that I could call my favourite, I'll share it.

I have a priority scale of how much I want to get a set. Since I'm not a fan of Doctor Who, it isn't high on the priority scale.

Are you that person that feeds money to Valve for keys?

That's better, hehe.

Ahhh... You're missing the Spongebob monopoly!

I knew they were a few but not so many.
I know of melenuem , Zelda, world, millionaire , empire and someothers.

There's about 30,000 versions at the moment.

Where's the Duel Masters monopoly, man!?

Keeps coming up but just not ready.

Believe you are missing zelda and some others

Missing around 29,950. Zelda, yes, is one.

I love this game.

Why would you ever do this to your wallet (says the guy that's spending 500$ on headphones this week).

People have their collections of stamps, badges and statues... I have my Monopolys.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Moully's DSL Showcase
« on: January 16, 2017, 12:08:24 PM »
Let me clear some things up in Moully's absence.

As of right now, Moully is building robots under my supervision on my computer since her laptop doesn't have enough memory space to download it.

All that she has shown so far has been under my supervision with essentially free rein past Basilisk with the exception of Mjolnir (was showing her burst motors and wedges for Standard uses)

Naryar is right. She's not going for any "style" as of right now. (I did explain though what they meant and she said that she will like to go with IRL when she understands more about the game)

Badger, chap, I don't even know what CF is so she won't, hehe. Since when was Standard dead? As far as I'm aware, my tourney was the last DSL 2.2-S. That was only a couple of months ago. If you're right, buggar, because my brain can't grapple IRL, hehe.

Her absence right now is due to her moving. She will be back building within a couple of weeks. She also hopes also to enter a tournament within the next month, too.

I'll throw my hat in to the ring to try it.

So, are we agreeing with Badger's ruleset? I would be fine to do so.

We need the full shebang, Mouldy. Where're the HW's? ;)

Eventually, lad. I'll do another one today so it'll be up by tomorrow morning.

I love how 6 years ago (around the same time) you made another post about speed-runs. Got that speed-run fever again, hehe?
And in there, whether ol' Scrap Daddy was lying or not, said that he beat RA2 in 3 minutes. Whether that's a joke or not, that might be a good start.  I would assume winning the golden saw would be the goal.

2 Categories:
First being no building of robots.
-Take rookie bots and lead them through each tournament in career mode.

Second being building a robot.
-Build a robot and take it through career mode.

One category for good builders and one for good drivers. The only big problem with these is that it splits the community. With the size of the community, I don't know if it's wise to have 2 categories.

Wait a second... Aren't you like 17 or something Mouldy?
Depends where he's from. Here in Britain you can get married at 16 with parental permission.

16, my lad.

We are engaged, not married :3 Won't be marrying for a while.

I thought this was Mouldy trolling. Then I re-read the name.

Welcome to GTM. These bots looke decent for a newcommer. You've lurked before you joined havn't you? ;)

You're not the only person to have said that, hehe.

This is my fiancee (finances). I taught her the basics and then gave her free rein after Basilisk. She's done pretty well so far, hehe.

Any update on Retooled?

Update: I'd really rather not do 3 metas at once.  I'll do Retooled once I'm done the other two.

Alright, thank you, lad.
