If you still want build a flipper like robot, try a servo lifter. It wont have nearly the power of a pneumatic flipper, but will be much easier to build and much safer too.

The motors, speed controllers, battery(ies), and wheels should take priority if at all possible. The main construction/frame should take the next priority. A basic sketch of your bot(Or an approximate design from another bot) would be nice.

What's DSL-S
DSL Standard - the whole IRL/Standard split has become that big of a thing now :P
You can blame me for that.

Don't know about the record, but I think you just solved the energy crisis.

There is a built in image uploader, you don't have to attach images to the post like a caveman.
In a nutshell:
Black batteries are worthless, all you need is ant batteries for everything.
Clubs are worthless as weapons, all you need are irons, razors, the hammers, and the saws.
Don't use any motors that don't have "drive" in the name or description for driving ever, NPC fast motors have the best power to weight ratio, with the mags at close second.
Keep all weapons towards the front, no need to split it.
Most bots only need two wheel drive, except for rammers and pop-ups.
Servos are good for hammers, but for only boosting the power and not aiming(Trust me, you will hit nothing like that)
The JXT is fine for hammers

ball bearings won't help when your frame bends because it will. bearings that small are pointless in an application like that. if you do keep your shafts like that, bore out the armor to at least .25 to leave room so it wont bind when the bot bends
Thanks for the tip man.

don't have your axles poking through the armor something will bend and bind the motor.
Eventually I will(They will also be supported by ball bearings) but at the moment, they're the only thing keeping the bot unstable on its sides. I think I could remake another wedge to do the same thing like Mike did with Kabalos, but again, I dunno.

OK, I had to redo the card-board templates because the looked really sloppy. So, with out further-ado, the new templates: Much better I think, bigger wedge, better top plate, and looks like it could protect it. Also not sure if you guys can notice, but the wheels are bigger that before. Old template side by side; Sadly though, this made a new flaw: The thing stands on its ass. Perhaps this will change when the wedge becomes steel, but I dunno. That's all for now. I've been offered to clean my bathroom for a new charger, so hopefully I'll have something to charge my Lipo.

Two more bots have shown up online, this time bigger bots around 40-120 lbs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Robot-Lawn-Mower-Base-motors-with-wheels-Battlebot-Drone-ROV-Rc-mover/281289453845?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.RVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20263%26meid%3D5705089708324865049%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D9059%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D201058937286The first is this micro switched rc-lawnmower prototype. Very cheap, under 100 USD right now plus shipping, no radio or battery. TBH, not much here that could be salvaged other that it being a good troll bot. The other is more interesting, because its Mortis! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Used-Battlebot-Fighting-Robot/201058937286?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.RVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20263%26meid%3D5705199072786501372%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D9059%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D281289453845OK, not that Mortis, this Mortis was a BBIQ bot(I think, thats what its bumper sticker says). This one is interesting because it has one of those IFI 900MHz rc systems. This thing is basically Mortician lite, basically the same bot inside with T-74s instead of T-64s and nimhs instead of Li-ion batteries.

What happened to BOTM?
In a nut-shell, lack of interest.

Well Pennbots was fun. FireArrow went 4-0 and took home the antweight title, Nocturne went 0-2 but beat Alex's thing once in a grudge match (we decided to do best of 3). Nocturne's getting pretty much redesigned entirely for Bot Blast.
I also guest drove D12 because Brandon's two bots faced against each other in the first round.
Neat. Glad Nocturne got to compete despite it being totally cursed and everything. How did that guest drive of D12 go?

Lol dude I know that feel
Right after that I rescrewed it and forgot to put the connecter on the mount...
Can't be as bad as attempting to charge a brand new lipo only to find that the charger has conked out before the first use.
