When I open the decompiled file there's nothing there - it's been wiped clean

Ok, so now I have Serge's version.  I repaired Microsoft C++ like he said to, but when I try to decomplie with it, the file comes out blank.  What did I do wrong?

Back on topic: Who checked their bot could go up ramps?

I was just glad to have a finished product that didn't Nasty Pickle.

  So no, I didn't

A cradboard Thermidor 2.  I broke one of its claws right after I was done taking pictures :/

:heart_smiley:
Shame about the claw though.

Ah, don't worry about that - as it turns out I only tore off one of the black triangle things, so it was easy to glue back together - good as new.
Good to hear that it's fixed, then. If it's not a problem, would a Cassius II model be possible next?  :D

Well, I'm not going to say it's impossible, because nothing in life is certain.  But I'm more interested in doing robots that are colorful or otherwise interesting designs.  And I'm not really sure how I'd do the ridges on the flipper.

I can't get my bots to stop doing the Nasty Pickle glitch.  Is it worth it for me to send a bot anyways and hope it works better on STC's computer?

Can I have a little more time to work on my binding?  I just finished the bot a couple hours ago and didn't think it'd be over so fast

Is it just me or does that bot resemble an IRL SFTW?

Nice replica in any case.  Lexan ain't easy to do.  Good idea to fake the tank treads like that.

Its performance certainly was, it takes a special breed of robot to lose to an Elmo doll.

Anyways, thanks.

My rank cost me two grand and countless hours of work in a basemet workshop.  :gawe:

But yours has positive externalities unlike ours.  (A functioning robot and a technical knowledge I probably won't match in my lifetime)

Flextreme, my latest attempt at a clear robot:

And this is what Flextreme really looks like on the inside:

If you consider yourself a serious video maker, it's a small investment considering how much mileage you'll get out of it.  I paid for a new copy when I got my sister's old laptop rather than pirate it again.
Indeed.

Also Sonny, I have to say that I liked the Rammstein rep from the No Wins Championship. With a better power source more adapted for taking on yellow Welsh robots with lifting forks, it's certainly proving its worth there.

Thanks

I can post there :/

Ya, for some reason I can't fathom, members with "Roboteer" status get all sorts of cool toys that Advanced Users don't, such as the rep buttons.

Why is it that Avalanche can post in the "Welcome New Members" section but I can't?

How would that work?  Would you be commenting on other people's gameplay footage?

Thanks for posting that - I didn't catch it on the Science Channel.

I have to agree with the crowd that Grant was completely unnecessary, they already have a guy commentating, and it just seemed redundant to have him saying more or less the same things the emcee was.

My youtube videos suck. How can I get more popular so people actually watch my videos?

How about an Abridged Series?  I've scoured all of Youtube and in my searches only come across four good ones, and that includes the one-off April Fool's "My Little Pony Abridged" episode.

Pick a series that genuinely takes itself seriously - if the show is a comedy already there isn't much you can add.  And stay true to your roots - "abridged" means "the entire episode summed up in five minutes (with glaring flaws pointed out" and NOT "make up a lot of jokes with no basis in the show and give each character a personality defect"

Get Brandon to help out, he's got a strong following and could get you some good cross-promotion.  I can't offer you much, being blessed with a voice meant for silent films, but I have a decent Gilbert Gottfried and I'd be happy to try my best at whatever voices you need.

Scourge was thinking about doing Axis Powers Helatia, maybe you could help kick-start that.
