A while back I tried making a bot similar within the rules of throwback, but it ended up being kinda aggravating. The inner-naryar in me cried like a little girl lost in the night over all the empty space. I just couldn't do it.
There was no rule in Throwback that required you to have empty space.

Heh, I built a helicopter bot once, completely in stock too, but we can save that kind of thing for the "Our Replicas are Different" tournament. As I said before, I thought this tournament presented a very unique building challenge. You still could use basic building techniques like minimizing empty space, but you had to think of ways to make your bot powerful other than "stack over 9000 razor tips onto tri-bars attached to boosted HP-Ztecs."

Also, from what I hear, DDTs make the bast wedges, so you could like upgrade the wedges to DDT motors with that extra weight.
