I found another scene from the aforementioned comedy anime that's strangely appropros of Sierra:

"I would have let you keep all the money, but since you all lied to me, all you get is one favor. *glower*"
"*ashamed*"
"....Sensei, how about you let us have five?  :laughing "

Why wasn't I in this comic?  I kinda started the whole thing. (Image removed from quote.)
It will require too many panels.

ORLY?  :gawe:
(Image removed from quote.)

That reminds me of the Irate Gamer, greenscreening himself into a scene and shouting in a corner while everyone ignores him

Ah I get it, Sparky the firedog.  Ha, good one 123.

In a sense.  I took each of the 17 Pokemon types and decided on 4 robots to represent each type.  The only ones that really could be passed off as Pokemon were Pika 2 and Lethal Swan.

So many to choose from.  I think I like this one the best:

Just saw Garvin's attempt to AI.  It reminded me of a scene from a comedy anime

"when was the last time you changed the strings?" [on the guitar]
"...you can change the strings?"

On a serious note, I'd be willing to take the reins of this tournament; I'm just about done with my own series and have nothing to do.  Would people actually be interested in this if I posted a new thread right now?

I'm going to be brutally honest, when I saw this thread I was really intrigued and excited at the prospect... until I saw who was hosting.

I'll enter if we can get a host who's shrewd enough to figure out a way to ensure that the bots are truly Pokemon themed, not just accept anything with Pokemon decals slapped on it.

If you're wondering "how shrewd is shrewd enough?"  well, they have to at least know that a cat's name should contain vowels.

That's right, they have just one arena, so they have to be able to break it down and cart all over England, consequentially it can't be as sturdy as they'd like.

It'd be nice if they had big commercial sponsors like in the US.

I found a Robot Wars reference over at Cracked.  This pic comes from a photoshopping contest, the topic was "Ill-concieved ideas for game shows"

The lack of arenas with OOTA potential has driven American builders away from the flipper design.  In addition, your pictures are anything but a fair comparison, one is current, the other outdated; one is a featherweight, the other a heavy.

I have this new principle that I don't watch vids with obviously fake thumbnails.

TBH, I didn't like any of the rivalries, they were all just too one-sided.  Firestorm did a little better against Razaer in each subsequent battle but other than that, the results were always too predictable.

If I had to guess I'd say they have some sort of gear reduction system inside the shell that connects the outer shell to the axle on the flipper.

But that's just spectulation, the team has kept their design secrets under lock and key.  It's probably something really expensive, the team has a reputation for having a lot of money and resources at their disposal

Just discovering this thread, I ought to peruse this section more often.

To be clear, is this all ready to go, or still in development (This page and the one before make it unclear)?  Either way, I tip my illuminating hard hat to you, this will save me a ton of aggro when trying to rotate the extenders.

Use a cartoon character soundboard

Ah, I see where I went wrong.  In steps 2 and 3, I'm accustomed to selecting the same file for both target and destination.  It works fine in Dummy's compiler, but I guess that yours doesn't like that.

Oh I don't mean on the job, I mean stuff like my high school days during free blocks and college parties where most everyone but me has had a bit of alcohol.

Any of you know what the statute of limiations in Masschusetts is on this kind of struff?

I have what some would call poor inhibitional control.  Very slight provocations can make me become like a raging bull

In fact, looking back on my life, I'm quite fortunate - and a little surprised - that no one's filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against me.

I'll give you some examples that I randomly thought of.

-Someone cheats on your spouse.
-Someone has been tormenting you for your entire life.
-Someone kills a family member of yours.
-You hate someone a lot.

You can think of other reasons, as well.

1) No, my wife was partially responsible too and killing the other man won't solve anything
2) No, I'd want them to suffer longer.  I would probably make them blind, quadraplegic, or constantly in pain, but not kill them.
3) Depends on the circumstances.  If they're a cold-blooded killer with no emotions then yeah I probably would just kill them on the spot.
4) See 2
