You have to keep in mind that most on here anymore come from the newer generations of gaming and think anything before Xbox 360 isn't worth messing with.

Plus the ones you mentioned are VERY obscure. Unless they are knowledgable of gaming history, they probably don't know what they are.

We had the pokemon one at least :P I still want to see more bots based on popular games etc. or maybe even game consoles....

A game console BotM would definitely be interesting, in my opinion.

The only problem I can see would be the NES and PS2 bot spam, due to the ease of replication.

A BOTM based on a video game/movie/tv show would be a good change from the norm.

I think I suggested a video game themed BotM before, and it prompted TRiaS to make a whole tournament out of it, but had to cancel it, sadly...

The rules said that you could pick any video game for your theme and only one person could use a game.

My bot was RA2: DSL themed. I was the first to find the loophole. :laughing

Because it is the capitol, and it shows how we are all united.
So basically, does that mean that when you get there, you'll start crying and singing about Eagles and Apple Pie and stuff as well?

I think it's a terrible idea, anyway...

Seriously... We bad-mouth the government every chance we get, the administrator hates Obama, and we send anthrax to each other.

How smart would it be to have a gathering in Washington DC?
Still, could be worse.

*Glances at Detroit*

True, but there's even worse, yet... New Jersey.

The only things that sh**hole has going for it is the fact that Scrap is from there...

And maybe the notorious sluts that they have, if it wasn't for that awful Jersey accent.

Bobby Flay vs Alton Brown vs Guy Fieri vs Rachel Ray

My money's on Alton.

Please, bitch... Emeril Lagasse has that sh** on lock.

And I would prefer UHW to be 2500, so you could have SHW multibots.

Why does it matter to you? You have said that you don't even like building heavyweights, let alone a superheavyweight multi-bot.

I've never noticed it on any computer. It's only on the mobile version.

"The Pit" always pissed me off in the American Robot Wars.

Everyone always went apesh** chanting "PIT! PIT! PIT!" so they would get to see the pyrotechnic effects when a robot was put in it, but it couldn't have consisted of more than a gram of black powder...

Robot Wars always seemed to be more about showmanship than the actual combat.

Actually... Were the house bots in the American versions the same actual robots as the European series? I know they had the same names and looked the same.

I use GTM with the mobile web application on my phone. I see the site pretty much the same as I would using my desktop PC, mostly...

Except where the GTM logo would normally be, up in the top left corner of the page, there is a button that reads "oyun oyna game" and it takes you to a page that is in some other language when you hit it.

What the Hell is this? I would assume it's some kind of advertisement, but it never changes.

Enigma entered Final Sign of Evil? Hmm... He put it in Battlebots 5 too.

You so lazy, Enigma... :laughing

lol@ misspelled thread title

I propose that any weight class that there hasn't been a tournament for just be deemed unofficial.

If someone wants to make a tournament for an unofficial weightclass, they can. These tournaments could just be called "customweight tournaments" or something similar and would need to have limits specified for the individual tournament.

I think that it would do away with the fleaweight, featherweight, cruiserweight, uberheavyweight and gigaheavyweight debates, but still leave flexibility in the weightclasses.

Does this seem like a decent idea, or would it overcomplicate things even worse?

Nobody has mentioned the compatibility folders... I'll let somone else explain that since I still use XP and have no clue where they are.
Just don't install RA2 in Program Files (the regular or x86) and you won't have to deal with that.

Mine are installed to a folder on the desktop. I'm assuming that qwerty's are just in the default location in the directory.

I'm on Windows 7, I've never even heard of compatibility folders. RA2 runs perfectly fine for me.

I thought the entire RA2 folder was placed in a different directory by default on Windows 7, but I might be wrong. I'm probably thinking of Vista having that issue.
