I wanted more Eli Roth (aka The Bear Jew).

Also, what happened to the rest of the Inglorious Basterds?  I know that

He also had 'The master' going well, so that was his serious bot.

Yeah, but obsolescence hit it like Mr Psycho falling from the dropzone. The Master lost iits first battle the season after its championship.

Think of it from Mark's shoes.
The choice is between a boring-looking robot with a so-so chance of winning, and the holy grail of engineering with a next to zero chance of winning.  Mark Setrakian builds animatronics to pay the bills, one of those options is a lot better for advertising his skillset.

Just to be clear, I'm only recommending the GameBoy Advance version of "Robot Wars Extreme Destruction"  It's completely different from the PC/Xbox version.

If you absolutely must have a console version, then go for "Areans of Destruction," it's not great but it's far and away the lesser of the two evils.  "Extreme Destruction" for the PC/Xbox is nearly unplayable because of physics bugs and game mechanic issues.

General Support / Re: how to make AI robots NOT havok
« on: June 15, 2011, 09:04:13 PM »
Alternatively, you could fiddle with the Snapper txt file itself.  It's been a while since I had a havoking problem, but I believe it can be fixed by lowering the numbers in the "burst" row.  If you need more flipper power, you can raise the numbers in the "power" row with less risk of a havok.

Panic Attack.  You shouldn't have put the operative word in the clue.

Get Robot Wars Extreme Destruction for the GBA.  The graphics are no better than what you'd expect on a GBA game, but considering the platform it's surprisingly fun and lifellike, and it does give you what you want - being able to play with the Robot Wars greats.

Even though Robot Arena 2 is incomplete, it's still the best robot combat game by far.  I think that's really sad when you consider how many fully-completed licensed games there were.

Me and Sparkey were just talking about if the Hypno-Disc team members got drunk. You could just see them in the pits, just staring at the disc wondering 'Where the heck does it stooop...?'

I think that's an incredibly optimistic analysis of what would happen if the handlers of a 100-KG metal-shredding machine got drunk.

I hope I'm doing this right.  This is more a paraphrasing of how the captain described his robot, and I found it funny.

"This is my robot it's just your run-of-the-mill circular chassis.  There's nothing inside except two pedestrian drive motors, a boring CO2 system and an incredibly normal lifting device.  All in all, it's a very plain robot that wouldn't at all stand out in a crowd.  We call it The Creature."

He said within the RA2 section / tournament section so I would guess yes... but conversation isn't done by ponies.

Not only it does takes much more server space than a simple sentence, it gets really repetitive after a while and it takes more much time to go and post a pony picture with caption than just typing. I don't get these people really. It doesn't makes you automatically OMG SO KEWL !!!!111, nor does it helps discussion in any way.

Ah I see now.  I read the title but not the details and just assumed that this was in response to that "British Spy" thread in the Politics section

Well believe it or not, the bragging was actually the more important point I wanted to make

When I was on vacation in Pennsylvania, there was this girl who called everyone "sweeite" and just generally liked hugging and affectionate touching.  It wouldn't have worked out long term; besides the standard issues of a long-distance relationship, we just didn't feel a spark between ourselves, and she was 17 so it would've technically been a felony.

But the point of my story is, nothing made me feel happier than when my friend (who was on vacation with me) thought that she was my girlfriend.  To let him think that I was a regular Casanova while he spent his nights getting stoned and crashing bicycles was just oh so satisfying,

What does that make me, wanting a girlfriend not for the benefit of mutual happiness but for the ability to brag about it?

The only two friends I need are Ben and Jerry.

(Image removed from quote.)

Think about it, ice cream is the perfect girlfriend.  If your girlfriend was like ice cream, think about how great things would be:
  • She wouldn't be needy.
  • You can get some whenever you want.
  • She never fails to satisfy.
  • She can always feed you without complaint.
  • She wouldn't bitch.
  • She wouldn't bitch over the phone.
  • She wouldn't bitch on facebook.
  • She wouldn't bitch via texting.
  • She would never bleed out of her genitals and have harsh emotional changes in correspondence with such bleeding.
  • She would never want to snuggle after sex.

I hate to be a buzzkill but, there's 2 flaws:

1) you can't show it off to your friends to demonstrate superiority.
2) If you like having sex with cold things, you're a necrophiliac.

I doubt you can strengthen the magnets by modding the txts.

What happens if you change elecMaxInOutRate?

I don't have my computer in front of me.  Could you open up the txt file and copy all the lines that have a numeric value?

Why not Stock HW? I could make a pretty decent Forretress :D

True, but that's about the only thing that would work.
