i just noticed you DO have a stock showcase. its way back at on the third page of showcases. just to let you know. has a bunch of your coolest bots there. Yeah, I didn't notice that because it wasn't a continuously updated thing, just a one-time post. I've merged the two threads now, so I just have one showcase.

I dunno, I wouldn't make any changes to IHNI. I like it as is; it's actually somewhat original. bigger chassis. There's something you don't see told to newbies very often.

I tried decompiling the 8-cylinder gas engine that was in the beta of DSL (but not included because it was glitchy and really laggy) and it worked. Dummy's decompiler couldn't do it because it has more than 10,000 faces. So that's another point for Serge! Your decompiler still can't do the Flextop arena, though. As soon as it gets past the first object, it says "Error! Unknown object type!" and quits. It also messes up the Infinity arena when I try to decompile it. (The Infinity Arena is here: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/files/infinity.zip) It replaces the geometry proxy name of the object Edward_Hippostrom_Memorial_Plate with "x;" (it should be null), and it also still can't decompile the Plane object. "Plane01" should have *HAVOK_GEO_TYPE Plane, but it switches to "Standard". Dummy's decompiler did this too, and I had to manually edit the compiled file in hex mode to make it a Plane. Then there's this "*MODEL_TYPE Basic Model" at the end that I'm not sure what it is. But if this thing can decompile the car steering and the 8 cylinder engine, I say it's still a good start. Just gotta wait for the compiler to see if it can do wheels.

The cheatbot2 parts may be big and heavy, but combine a hover engine, a servo, and a few cannons and it's unstoppable. Anyone remember Firebeetle's Ceiling Crow?
It's actually hard to define where "glitch exploiting" begins and ends. For example, is EMERGENCY a "glitch bot" because its flippers go through the ram plates, even though such a design could be done in real life? Or do you call the typical rammer with a wall of axe heads "glitch exploiting" because it makes no realistic sense (in real life, 1 axe on a rammer would do at least as much damage as 100), even though no glitches are required to build it?
I think that's why "glitch exploiting" has become common practice in RA2. It's actually hard to make a good bot that is inarguably glitch-free.
That said, this thread has given me an idea for possible future BBEANS. Realistic-ruled stock anyone? Would be interesting and challenging to say the least...

Because Enfilad3 was undefeated. It wouldn't be fair to eliminate it while it still only had one loss, while everyone else got two losses.

You only need to include a cfz if you want the txt files to be compressed and uneditable (at least for everyone who doesn't know how to decompile cfz's).
You can use the axle loading glitch to put baseplate anchors inside the wheels.

I'd punch my monitor if Nelson's Ha-Ha was added to a weapon blow. Even worse, FB made a motor that does that while it's running...

Try it yourself if you're that curious. this a dumb conversation.

I only see 3, unless the middle two are exactly overlapping.

Then you should try that. Though I thought the Vista issue was resolved before version 2.9. If your version is pirated, that might also be the problem.
Urjak, I use FRAPS (legally bought) for BBEANS.

So this is the Absolute Chaos that everyone is talking about. I haven't seen it before now.
...Yeah, I can see why it would be a tough opponent. But only 3 weapon motors? Are there 12 maces on each tribar then?

You will need the folder and txt file called lt_hdrum in Components, and the lt_hdrum txt files in styles.
As long as you're borrowing components from DSL, you might as well put Lightning spikes on the side of Mr. Nasty instead of trying to paint them on. The Lightning spikes would be the perfect shape. Then that replica will look really nice (it's already quite good).

Super cycle looks unstable, like it would log-roll on any good hit. I can't help but think it would be better with static weapons, or else if the weapons flailed on the x-z axis and not the y axis. Otherwise it looks good.
HVS could use different weapons. With a VS, it's better to have a few heavy weapons than lots of light ones, because as soon as you lose ONE weapon, it will become unbalanced and its effectiveness will drop several orders of magnitude. With two nice big hammers, the weapon would be much sturdier than with all those little spikes.
But aside from that and the blatant violation of the realistic rule, that looks like a good bot. Reminds me of a DSL version of my Swiss Army Bot IV.
Also, if you plan to continue posting DSL bots, you should start a DSL showcase.

Personally I don't care either way (just do what you think is best), but for the sake of other people I don't think it's the best idea to say the tournament is double elimination at the start, and then say "Oh, by the way, there's no loser's bracket anymore" once there are people in it expecting to get a second fight. Especially with people that had potentially unfair losses in the first round like JoeCB1991.

And from my understanding, HazCon will need to win two rounds against Enfilad3, and I will only need to win one round to be the champion. Is this right CB?
Right. So, you're at a definite advantage, but it's not so big that I would start celebrating just yet

Okay, BLAH definitely has problems. You can hear the switch on his weapon flipping on and off. While I don't thihnk it would have changed the outcome on this fight, he's screwed if it's not fixed. That's Mako 4 with the switch. You can see that Blah has no trouble in its fight with Daisy Might. It just has a naturally slow spinup time. 280 kgs worth of hammers on a maybe 3-meter bar just doesn't spin up instantly, no matter what motor you use. Skurge vs. Infernal Contraption: that's why I put an obstacle in the middle of the BBEANS arena. Still, I have to admit it's cool when a bot goes OOTA in this arena. Sage has gotten a lucky break with first fighting Facemelikeaman, and then Classy Paintjob, but I suspect Mutant Dragonfly will give him a bit more trouble. Should be a good fight.

Round 9 is up! That means we're down to our two finalists and four rumble participants. The next round will be the last... who will be crowned champ? Will Enfilad3 continue its winning streak unhindered, or will the loser's bracket winner usurp him for the first time in BBEANS history? Either result is entirely possible. Also, here's a link to the BBEANS 4 AI. Be aware that this is an extremely rough pack and will require some basic knowledge of AI in order to install (unless you just want the bots and not AI, in which case you can just pull them out of the Team folders). You will also need Madiaba's smart zone pack (available in the Gametechmods download page). I've included some instructions, but I'm sure that some people will still mess it up. If you want an easy-to-install, completed AI pack, you'll have to wait until after BBEANS6 when I will release the full DSL BBEANS AI pack (featuring bots from BBEANS2, 4, and 6). The stock BBEANS AI pack will be released after BBEANS5.

The same way Sage connected them on Fatal Encounter ( https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=755&page=10), just on a larger scale. This should beat my Embodiment of Ruin. Because the side hammers are stronger... Not to mention 4WD. But EoR has a lot more front protection with those axes, and the side hammers probably swing a lot faster since there's more of them and they're lighter. EoR is probably better at fighting HS's (I know FB2 can't KO Little Darling in 10 seconds!)

Well it's cool that you made a MW popup with 3 Snappers. I don't remember seeing that before. How much damage does it do on average?
But there's no way a bot like that can get under NW exactly head-on. You would need to steer a little to one side, so the wedges collide, and hope your wedge is better.
