Tournament Archives / Re: Recreating Robot Wars Series
« on: August 12, 2014, 11:14:25 AM »
Okay I'm just going to assume that this is set up like Series 4 and that the first three names are Melee One, and the other three are Melee Two. Same with the Grand Final, I'll assume it's run the same way as a Heat.

HEAT A
Fluffy VS Ripper VS Darke Destroyer: Darke Destroyer would get flipped over straight away, no contest, move on.
The Grim Reaper VS Ansgar 3 VS PulverizeR: A difficult match to predict, PulverizeR is going through but it's between the other two... As disappointing as it was in Series 7, Grim Reaper would probably win.

Fluffy VS The Grim Reaper: As long as Fluffy doesn't lose signal again it would easily win.
Ripper VS PulverizeR: PulverizeR can't get at the electronics of Ripper and has a high ground clearance. Probably would get flipped out of the arena or into the Pit.

Fluffy VS Ripper: Ripper would just keep flipping until Fluffy breaks down. Fluffy can't hit the electronics either.

HEAT B
Trouble 'n' Strife VS Cataclysmic Variabot VS Scrapper: Battle of the crap robots. Scrapper would get knocked over and can't self-right.
Typhoon 2 VS Panzer VS Uglybot: Typhoon 2 would go for the tracks on Panzer and break them. Also Uglybot would do sod all but still go through.

Typhoon 2 VS Trouble 'n' Strife: Although Trouble 'n' Strife weren't bad in Series 5 they wouldn't stand a chance.
Cataclysmic Variabot VS Uglybot: You figure it out.

Typhoon 2 VS Cataclysmic Variabot: Shell Spinner + Box = Small Pieces.

HEAT C
The Spider VS SAT'arn VS Beast of Bodmin: SAT'arn was a Featherweight. Game over.
Loco VS Ewe 2 VS Scrap-2-Saur: Loco isn't invertible. Discuss.

The Spider VS Ewe 2: Ewe 2 wouldn't break, The Spider had crap weapons.
Beast of Bodmin VS Scrap-2-Saur: Again, Beast of Bodmin isn't invertible. Discuss.

Ewe 2 VS Scrap-2-Saur: Scrap-2-Saur had the better flipper.

HEAT D
Spam VS Pika 3 VS Spawn of Scutter: Difficult, none of the robots in this heat are any good. Spam would probably get ganged up on and lose by a judges decision.
BOD VS Hammerhead 2 VS Tetanus: Tetanus or BOD would get flipped. Probably Tetanus.

Pika 3 VS BOD: I really don't know, probably Pika 3.
Spawn of Scutter VS Hammerhead 2: Hammerhead maybe.

Pika 3 VS Hammerhead 2: Once again I honestly don't know, I don't see any of these matches not going to a judges decision. I think in the end Hammerhead 2 would take the decision.

HEAT E
Torque of the Devil VS Shadow of Napalm VS LizzardWhat version of Lizzard? I'll assume the first. Torque of the Devil is going nowhere in this.
Tanto VS Kat 3 VS Robot The Bruce: Kat 3 could put some good holes in Robot The Bruce, and Tanto will just keep coming back. Robot The Bruce should be eliminated.

Shadow of Napalm VS Tanto: Napalm will never achieve anything.
Lizzard VS Kat 3: I don't think Kat 3 will be able to chase Lizzard and hit it enough. Lizzard to win.

Lizzard VS Tanto: Difficult, but Lizzard would be able to get a good swipe or two at those big exposed wheels.

HEAT F
Invertabrat VS Basenji VS Corckscrew: Corkscrew was hugely underrated and never got where it should have. Basenji stants no chance whatsoever against it.
Aggrobot 3 VS Marauder VS The Revolutionist: Marauder is a middleweight. Moving on.

Invertabrat VS Aggrobot 3: Experience pays off, Aggrobot 3 would win.
Corkscrew VS The Revolutionist: Corcescrew has more durability and can self-right too if it needs it.

Aggrobot 3 VS Corkscrew Aggrobot wasn't the most reliable, and Corkscrew is pretty vicious too.

GRAND FINAL
Ripper VS Typhoon 2 VS Scrap-2-Saur: I don't think that Typhoon would be able to get up to speed in time before it would be flipped. Also it's against two opponents so that makes avoidance harder.
Hammerhead 2 VS Lizzard VS Corkscrew: Lizzard isn't invertible and the chassis isn't that strong.

Ripper VS Hammerhead 2: I can easily see this going Ripper's way.
Scrap-2-Saur VS Corkscrew: This is probably where it goes pear-shaped for Corkscrew.

3rd Place Playoff - Hammerhead 2 VS Corkscrew: Did you see what Typhoon 2 did to Hammerhead 2 in Series 7? Corkscrew all the way.

Grand Final: Ripper VS Scrap-2-Saur Ripper seems more durable and in the end it would win, judges decision or not.

GRAND CHAMPION: Ripper

There.

Yoshi.

He can sh*t out eggs the size of his head, bigger eggs the size of his body, even bigger metal eggs 3 times his height, and humongous eggs 8 times at tall as him without even flinching.

Captian Grabbermore: It better be a clamp like sidehammer thing....or else I'm gonna be disappointed
The splash is the position after the Burst Motors have fired. The arms return to pointing forward after.

Also, pretty colours.
