I own part of a robot...

I dunno which one, it was yellow.

Pics?  If it's a Robot Wars robot, I'll take a stab at identifying it.

[rant mode]

The majority of YouTube, or at least the popular stuff, is horrendous. The popular variety of anything is horrendous, because that means the idiots have jumped in it and taken over. Nobody in business gives a crap about making something remotely intelligent or having any sense of integrity, they just want something that will sell, and the best way to do that is to make something for thick people. That way nobody's left out, and they get more people buying it overall.

Humanity is going down the <expletive>ing toilet, if we keep going at this rate.

[end rant mode]
Also, a lot of the better youtubers have grown sick of youtube for these and other reasons, and have left.
Quoted for truth. If not for my friends and subscriptions and subscribers and things, I'd have left a long time ago. At the same time however, I can't just get up and leave- my subscribed channels (IE. Sonny's, for instance) still produce good content, and I've carefully cultivated my friend list over a period of time- erasing that would mean three years' work down the toilet. So for now, I've basically got to put up with all these dodgy partnerships, the WMG wankers, this whole "THIS CONTAINS CONTENT FROM AMERICAN TELLY AND HAS BEEN BLOCKED IN YOUR COUNTRY ON COPYRIGHT GROUNDS" fiasco (why have that? Youtube never used to do that), and of course, some of the most dysfunctional, GIFT-abiding morons I've yet seen on the internet. In all honesty, the horrible spelling and complete lack of any form of punctuation makes you weep for the future of humanity alone, never mind the obsceneties and unbridled hatred over such trivial matters.

Aww thanks GF.

Me personally, I believe that as long as there's room for people who pay no money and make no money on Youtube, that there's still hope for the good video makers.

The Stag's shell is being sold on Ebay (pickup only, so it's a no-go for me) but if you're near Newcastle-Under-Lyme, it's only 10 pounds with no bids:

He became the #1 subscribed on Youtube.  His videos are puerile and unfunny with no original content.  He uses misleading titles and obviously fake thumbnails (I refuse to watch videos with blatantly fake thumbnails)

How do I put the green tick mark up?

Very bottom of page, mark Topic Solved.

Thanks for that.  I was about to make a new thread  "Help, the green tick mark is gone from the icon select menu"

FlatMotor as mentioned earlier. Ah, that bot... good times...

Alright then thanks.  I actually had a thought about that bot; you could use ninja stars for the spinning spikes.

How do I put the green tick mark up?

I just remebered where I saw the motor in question - in Squirrel_Monkey's replica of The Spider.  S_M as long as you're here can you confirm what that motor was?

I went snooping around the TF2 wiki, and found this:
Quote
The main limitation of replays in this format is that they are likely to become unreadable in the event of a game update.
*Heavy sigh*

Enlighten me, perchance?  What does that even mean?

I've seen a lot of DSL-legal robots that use what appears to be a very thin gold-coloured spin motor.  It's not the slimBody, it's a spinner motor.  But I can't find any such component in my fresh DSL copy, even with cheatbot enabled.  What is the txt file?

Ooh, I love this game!

1) The red and blue colours are swapped around
2) the links don't actually work.
3) It's aligned left instead of centre.
4) The text doesn't line up with the banner correctly

Mary Chung's was also the inspiration for a Battlebots team.

Good thing we got that out of the way. Now let's never speak of this again.
Yep indeedy- certainly was interesting while it lasted, but I'm glad it all got defused peacefully.

Now, who's for Chinese?

OMG yes.  If you ever visit Boston there's this little restaraunt called Mary Chung's on Massacusetts Ave.  And they just full stop make the best Chinese food ever.  You'll think you're at the wrong Mary Chung's when you walk in because it's a humble operation with paper tablecloths and ugly blue-coloured walls, but the food will n ot disappoint.  It's in Caimbridge, incdientally (not Caibmridge England of course) Ever wonder about the real reason why MIT gets its first pick of incoming college freshmen?

You're right, I didn't see the original argument, but what I did see was you finding an opportunity to jump on Goldenfox in a dialogue you weren't involved in, drastically escalating the intensity of the situation.

Your grievance is about that one thread in particular, so you should settle it in that thread.

I'm just telling you what it looks like to me;  it looks like you saw an opportunity to take some free hits and did so, I'm saying that you didn't have justification for getting involved

See, I can swear like a drunken sailor too. It doesn't make me look cool ether.

And that makes me laugh, in the past couple pages, it was you doing most of the swearing.

Come on, those two are not on equal ground.  It's obvious what's going on here, Sparkey is trying to jump on the back of someone else's fight to make himself look like a hero.

Really, just look at GF's last post, compared side-by-side with Sparkey's.I think it's plain to see from that dialogue who the real problem is.

If I may Sparkey, you ain't much better right now; you're falling back into your old ways of picking a fight with everyone.  This isn't the best time for you to be railing on someone like that.

People shouldn't be complaining that TF2 is free.

It's not anger that they're expressing it's superiority. Let me explain it to you in terms of Dr. Seuss' "The Sneetches".

See, the Proof of Purchase hat is the star marking, and the Sneetches with the Proof of Purchase hats think they're superior to the ones without, and they even have a tangible label to support their claims.  And Valve, aka Sylvester McMonkey McBean, is perfectly happy to sit back and let the stigma of being a plain-hatted Sneetch entice people into shelling out $20 just to fit in.

Imagine that!  This might be the only time in history where, a company makes free a product that once cost money, and saw revenue remain constant or even increase.

It can drive around, but the weapons do not work at all. It just shoves the other bot around the arena.
BTW, it's your Hydrotech replica, but I replaced the weak lifting arm, with a Judge Burst.

Ah ok.  You don't want to be using Omni, you want OmniMultiZone as the robot's binding.  Name the first smartzone weapon1, and the corresponding button Fire1. The second smartzone should be called weapon2 and the appropriate button Fire2.  So on and so forth for as many weapons as you need - I think you can have up to 4.
