Thanks, Frezal.  I personally know of 2 of these kind of absurd legal actions here in MA.
These were from an email I got this morn and was too lazy to check each one out.

This guy IS legit  :

    "Stella Awards"

This theme is sort of funny, but sad in a way too:

It's time again for the annual 'Stella Awards'! For those unfamiliar with these awards, they are named after 81-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled hot coffee on herself and successfully sued the McDonald's in New Mexico , where she purchased the coffee. You remember, she took the lid off the coffee and put it between her knees while she was driving. Who would ever think one could get burned doing that, right? That's right; these are awards for the most outlandish lawsuits and verdicts in the U.S. You know, the kinds of cases that make you scratch your head. So keep your head scratcher handy.
Here are the Stellas for this past year 2009:

*SEVENTH PLACE*

Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas was awarded $80,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was running inside a furniture store. The store owners were understandably surprised by the verdict, considering the running toddler was
HER OWN SON.

Start scratching!

* SIXTH PLACE *

Carl Truman, 19, of Los Angeles , California won $74,000 plus medical expenses when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord. Truman apparently didn't notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when
HE WAS TRYING TO STEAL his neighbor's hubcaps.
Scratch some more...

* FIFTH PLACE *

Terrence Dickson, of Bristol , Pennsylvania , who was leaving a house he had just
burglarized by way of the garage. Unfortunately for Dickson, the automatic garage door opener malfunctioned and he could not get the garage door to open. Worse, he couldn't re-enter the house because the door connecting the garage to the house locked when Dickson pulled it shut. Forced to sit for eight, count 'em, EIGHT days and survive on a case of Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food, he sued the homeowner's insurance company CLAIMING UNDUE MENTAL ANGUISH. Amazingly, the jury said the insurance company must pay Dickson $500,000 for his anguish. We should all have this kind of anguish. Keep scratching. There are more...

Double hand scratching after this one..

*FOURTH PLACE*

Jerry Williams, of Little Rock, Arkansas, garnered 4th Place in the Stella's when he was awarded $14,500 plus medical expenses after being bitten on the butt by his next door neighbor's beagle - even though the beagle was
on a chain in its owner's fenced yard. Williams did not get as much as he asked for because the jury believed the beagle might have been provoked at the time of the butt bite because Williams had climbed over the fence into the yard and repeatedly shot the dog with a pellet gun.

Pick a new spot to scratch, you're getting a bald spot..

* THIRD PLACE *

Amber Carson of Lancaster, Pennsylvania because a jury ordered a Philadelphia restaurant to pay her $113,500 after she slipped on a spilled soft drink and broke her tailbone. The
reason the soft drink was on the floor: MS. CARSON HAD THROWN IT AT HER BOYFRIEND 30 SECONDS EARLIER DURING AN ARGUMENT. What ever happened to people being responsible for their own actions?

Only two more so ease up on the scratching....

*SECOND PLACE*

Kara Walton, of Claymont , Delaware sued the owner of a night club in a nearby city because she fell from the bathroom window to the floor, knocking out her two front teeth. Even though Ms. Walton was
TRYING TO SNEAK THROUGH THE LADIES ROOM WINDOW TO AVOID PAYING THE $3.50 COVER CHARGE, the jury said the night club had to pay her $12,000....oh, yeah, plus dental expenses. Go figure.

Drawing blood yet?

Ok, Here we go!!
* FIRST PLACE *
This year's runaway First Place Stella Award winner was: Mrs. Merv Grazinski, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who purchased a new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home, from an OU football game, having driven onto the freeway,
she set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly LEFT thedriver's seat to go to the back of the Winnebago to make herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the motor home left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Also not surprisingly, Mrs. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not putting in the owner's manual that she couldn't actually leave the driver's seat while the cruise control was set. The Oklahoma jury awarded her, are you sitting down?

$1,750,000 PLUS a new motor home. Winnebago actually changed their manuals as a result of this suit, just in case Mrs. Grazinski has any relatives who might also buy a motor home.

Just in case someone doesn't understand but might be helped by knowing:
Each txt tells the exe to make an in-game component slot, even if it's not addressed to a component folder.
So if there are multiple in-game slots for the same component, then there are duplicate txt's; either in the cfz(s), and/or in the 'Components' folder txts(which could have different names).

True, but I found one that comes close to being smaller than an elephant... well, maybe not:

Contests / Re: Vote BOTM May 2010
« on: May 01, 2010, 06:50:34 PM »
I worked 36 hours with only 1 1/2 hrs sleep......it is fixed now.

We didn't have 10 posts before some nut was telling what bot was theirs, next time we may have voting ONLY and no comments.
You may have to, because I still don't think they get it.

I vote for #3, since the text says it can do those things.  Would be nice to have a short vid to see it in action. I think it's CB's too. But I'm sure he won't let on till voting is finished.

#6 looks original, a 'thwacker', which is cool too. Vid would be cool here too.

Nice job there, Nar. I now know why Joe has an affinity toward you... ;)    That can be done quickly and easily.  And Nar is becoming a coder...

Also, you might try CB's RPM monitoring AI and code the top R's like a rev-limiter.

Thanks, again(I gots a sneeks peaks), ACAMS.

Constructive thought: Could you add another separate feature in which we can upload a zip/rar of the Bindings line too, and then just list them for selection and D/L?

Threads like this...

Actually isn't there a jesting thread like this? (Have to look after work.)

If there isn't, there should be one within GTM...  Call it 'In-venting'..

(Yea, I'm tired...)

Badnick,
Joe and I are working on your request.  Then you can see how to do it.
Give a few days to tweek things.  (It'll be at least a bit more fancy than your request.)

Discussion / Re: NEW GLITCH- painface glitch
« on: April 19, 2010, 09:33:16 PM »
I discoverd this last night.
Basically, what you do is, make a round chasis, put a z tek in the center with extenders going off to motors and wheels, then put blade arms on the extenders. So when the Z-tek spins up, the wheels spin. But here's the glitch, when you try to drive it, the bot drives perfectly fine, while the wheels are spinning, great for shell spinners, and this design.
(Image removed from quote.)
Glad to see you experimenting, Sparkey, but Inp and the others are right; this has been done....

Huh, my memory is better than I thought.
You must have forgotten how good it was...

Tournament Archives / Re: Clash Cubes 3 - Brackets & Videos
« on: April 18, 2010, 09:22:03 PM »
..... just enjoy it for what it is while you have it, 4 more heats to go then you will never have to hear about Clash Cubes again.
Most of you need to keep quiet, for you don't really understand the amount of work that these tourneys take.  If you don't like an aspect, then don't enter; simple.  But whining is weighing on Joe,.. and me, with behind the scenes work...

Now, B.O.T., guys...

Though I didn't look at it yet, Click, why would it be too difficult to assign a variable to the desired parameter(s) of 'GetMotorAngle' and pipe it out to the Bindings line for particular-bot adjustments?

I'll check it out...

Chatterbox / Re: How did YOU come up with your name?
« on: April 17, 2010, 09:04:35 AM »
LOL I looked up Madiaba. XD
It's pretty much disco for the Congo. :P
Well, Reier, that's not the primary meaning of 'madiaba', but secondary.
Here's a few hints (for those bilinguists out there):

French: fesse/crosse (may be better slang words I don't know)
German: hinternbacke/pobacke
Latin: clunis, natis
Greek: γλουτoς (gluts), πυγη (puga)
P.I.E: klounis(s), pouga(pl) (Note: the concept of a P.I.E. is highly conjectural)
Hebrew: תַחַת -under(parts), אָחוֹר -back(side), שֵׁת -'shat' (hehe- yea, just what you think)
Akkadian: puku
Sumerian: dur

I'm not black, but my wife is Kenyan and she grew up speaking English and ki-Swahili.
The dance craze thing in the Congo, I'd never heard of; but it's not unlike the dance/descriptive term used here 'booty' (slangese for buttocks).
A friend (biologist) and I were discussing inter- and intra-departmental dynamics of the Chairs (heads) of each department at ******* University, and how they often persue a self-centered, self-promotional protocol, (playing political games), than totally academic, factual scholarship.  We called them 'duffers' because that's what they did (nothing) when certain academic facts called for paradigm shifts, but they would not upset the 'status quo'.  When I learned the word 'madiaba' we began using it as a 'code word' for people who did not responsibly report facts, but sat on their 'madiaba' doing nothing to make sure they would keep their position through politically correct pseudo-congeniality.

So when I was exposed to RA2 (I like mechanical stuff), and began hacking into py coding, I found the RA2 official website and GTM and used Madiaba as my user name.

Trovaner: "It would be somewhat hard and maybe laggy."
Trov, I attached SZs to geomobjects in the Helicopter Hanger arena.  I thought of getting HBot location via an attached HBot SZ ID-ing any bot it encounters, then finding that bot's location in the arena.  Or we could put on a restraint solver, a rotating SZ like radar (using the long 'beam' SZs). It would constantly monitor the regular bots and use them to calculate its own location like an APS (Arena Positioning System).

Still thinking about HBot nose heading...

:O What would be awesome would be doing this with normal components and end up with more than 4 bots in an arena ! Expound a bit on this, please.  What's your idea?

Sure, Joe. Don't often get help.

And that absolutely is not subliminal messaging for "we need more modders!" :P Would be nice, and I see it happenning,.. to an extent.

Don't blame you for it though... I might learn python one day and go into modding more, but for now i am either lazy either occupied with different matters to play more with gmf's and py's.  You're doing well with tweekings of the AI.pys. The rest is not much different...
