Sorry if this is wrong section, but the BattleBots Minibots thread was here so why not? Does anyone know what the robot toys in these images are called? (not the battlebots, the orange and blue ones) Used to have them as a kid and been looking for them for years: The only thing I seem to remember from them were the masses of interchangeable parts. I've been searching for years trying every possible search combination and not even finding an image until just now.

More from his Greatest Hits album: Reminds me of what happened when I microwaved my Speak and Spell.

If you're using Dual Perms to move your bots, you're doing it wrong. If you need more power, fit another T64 in there. I've built Ultraheavyweights with about 16 T64s double stacked and they're very fast and maneuverable.

And besides, I'm pretty damn sure DSL IRL's been going around since atleast 2008, especially once the guy above me debuted a year later. Feel free to bitch but it was always there, it's just become more popular now and you don't get persecuted as badly for building it.

Get out.
If your main weapon breaks up, then you have no chances to beat your opponent anymore. That's kinda stupid for a tournament like Robot Wars.
OOH AN EDGY ONE. Still though, I'd've (yes, double apostrophe but it works. English is a weird language.) rather seen a ramfest between the two bots over a pitting. It's what made BattleBots so tense. Half the spinbots wouldn't have made it beyond the round of 32 if there was a pit, and even still the hellraisers screwed up a couple fights which is what made them remove it for the last 2 seasons. Look at fights such as Nightmare vs. Battlerat, Son of Whyachi vs. BioHazard, Mechavore vs. Vlad The Impaler etc., and imagine how quickly they would've been over for the robot that won had there been a pit and a pit release.

In addition to the previous advice, who uses a hollow disc on the top? You either use armored or solid discs.

And, I might get some hate for this, but A CLOSED PIT AFTER ROUND 2 PLEASE. The pit is to dump an eliminated robot, not a panic room for when you're getting the sh** kicked out of your bot. No more Bigger Brother vs. Hypno Disc, Corkscrew's round one loss in S6, Beefcake vs. RC Warrior (no matter how fun that fight was to watch), or the controversy made by Tornado's frame. Tough as Nails now has to drag its opponents elsewhere.

Hell no. BB6 was the biggest competition to date, DSL 3 got a beta release and after ten years, we're finally getting a look at a potential sequel. If anything we're only just beginning to push the game to its limits. We still got atleast 3 years left.

Should it really be 7 on the other sections though? There really hasn't been that many robots made this year by different people. Why not 5?

Yeah, the only spinners will probably be the rubbish ones in order to exert "flipper superiority" and the chances of seeing an Eruption vs. Last Rites style bout are as slim as ever.

Yeah I'll have to say the HW is the ugly duckling in your series of bots. SHW looks boss though.

That always gave me a heart attack because you never knew when it could happen. Sometimes you can be at 0% damage for every component and your robot broke down in 5 seconds, or you could have 66% drive and battery, and nothing bad would happen next match. Inconsistency is what made me stop playing it in the first place. Weapons snapped off at random and half the flippers you could put on your robot were inverted for some reason. This is why I prefer RA2, because things break for a reason.

Yeah, the physics were awfully exaggerated but it's still better than AoD, where even Chaos 2's flipper had difficulty in doing anything. Also, there is the benefit of better graphics.

Rub my genitals in cow sh** and piss acid on my grave, the Google Time Image Search Thing™ ACTUALLY WORKS. What a brilliant way to pretend something doesn't exist.
