You take Cheatbot parts and just run with them, I don't see many people use them in such a way.

converted my rocket sled vindicare to a plane as well, I couldn't resist having wings..
Planes are sooooo much fun. Adding the fact that I know how to do quite a few maneuvers, dogfights are a breeze for me.
Air to ground, however... Railguns aren't too difficult, plasma isn't so bad either, but SMG's are a nightmare. I feel bad for the pups in the higher tiers trying to do that.
And, the Fortress of Ignorance is steadily becoming more and more orange.

I downgraded my rocket sled vindicare down to a tier 1 10-component sled with like 5 rockets for mobility and gave it a tier 2 or 3 railgun, and that works as intended. However, as soon as someone with enough SMG's find me, I'm toast. Sniping from afar and castrating other bots is the best way to use what I'm using.

You need to be in higher tiers with higher railguns for them to /really/ be effective.

I wouldn't go for something big and armory when using railguns. Make it small, hard to hit, extremely fast and make sure it has as much of a radar system as you can throw on it, so that you can snipe concealed and you won't be subject to getting sneaked up on. Armor should be your last thought, and in such a set up it should be about bringing the armor blocks themselves up to tier, not adding layers.

Also..... Why the hell hasn't anyone made TommyProductionsinc a veteran yet? You've all seen his work, eleven, hypno-disc (on stock as well mind), all the battlebots work including skinning, SGT Bash, Matilda, Mr Psycho, Major Damage.. ETC
This doesn't have much to do with him helping me out that has made me say this... IT'S HIS WORK!
For 2 reasons: 1- Veteran status is for people who've been here a long time and is higher than AU, and a large number of them have had AU preceding it anyway. 2- Tommy's replicas are beautiful, but his replica making skills need to mature before getting to AU. Failrace recently played this game, so we may get another small influx of new/returning members. I can't promise I'll come back for good (with revision and exams approaching), but I'll be hovering and lurking as I always have. However, for now, my builders block has been cured! :D
