You Restored robot combat 3%. -Not trying to sound rude, I posted all of Battlebots Season 2.0 and got a big reaction too, I know how cool this feels- And Congrats. I never got to see the Intreverter Deb Bot Whyatica Jav Man heat, so that was cool.

I once had a dream about me going from Being tied to a chair by my grandfather, getting sent to a plane to fly home, meeting up with my family and running into the New age outlaws (Wrestling tag team) and ending up having a conversation about the Battlebots middleweight division for some reason.
I was driving home to see I was room mates with- Marmaduke, A Pig, A Charizard, The Superheavyweight No Apologies, Brendan Fraser, And a couple of other people.
Fraser and No Apologies were always gardening for some reason (I also saw them burrying the driver of Punjar in my yard) , The Charizard talked and was my roomate, Marmaduke has adult actions with the pig, who tried to abuse me, And the dream ended by all of us gathering and watching Battlebots Reruns.
Pretty Awesome dream.

To be honest, I love flippers but if 75% of the contestants are flippers, then it's getting ridiculous.
I agree as well, and to my surprise, I have talked to a lot of European/English folks that think its ridiculous to not allow the simplest of spinning weapons -circular saw?- to fight. I really doubt RW will see a Last Rites or Hypnodisc anytime soon. Just allow spinners.

Replace cassius 2 with 3. More realilistic. Also, I do not think an influx of that many US bots would enter. I suggest replacu ng some with some roaning robots bots that appeared 04 and 05.

That was an intense fight. I thought I had the upperhand and was about to start celebrating my 1st tournament win, but alas. Still a great match. One day one of my Lone Star machines should pull off a win.

So from what I've seen on FB there are going to be two Combots-style tourneys each year, as well as smaller, Robot Wars style tourneys every two months or so. Also, there will be a house robot.
Also, the first tournament will not have spinners, but it will be spinner-friendly for the first "world" championship.
This points the hopes of the whole international thing in a better direction.

Late comment on my LW fight, I predicted an early out, My slow sluggish LW had a weak weapon and only strength was invertability. HW Match should be good. As long as I can avoid getting my wheels snapped off and have better armor, I may have this one. I also think it is awesome that theres another Texas bot in the HW division. Grudge Match?

The best idea would be to do the arena hazard free (like in Combots) but make it where you can Oota. That way there is comfort for both bots in the arena. Still spinners would be a problem, Would a robot like Touro be damaging to British bots? I can understand Brutality and Last Rites.
