I stop paying attention and all this stuff happens. Much confused.

That extender work...
You only need one extender on each side to give you the width. At the moment you have one for the front leg and one for the back.

The idea is not to outweapon a 36HS, it's to keep your weapons alive and hit the tribars/motors to deweapon them.

In which case would you have the drum spinning downwards in order to come down on top of the motors etc?

I currently have it spinning upwards to try and force the opponent up in the air etc...
Yeah, up is good so you hit the underside where there aren't usually any weapons

Can I have the final done as a rematch once with me and no RedAce, and once with RedAce and not me?

Thank you!
Squirrel monkey... Now there's a name I think I remember? Could be wrong...
I believe I joined in 2009 so I must have been just starting up back then. Would have been like 13 or something. Takes me back.
I will be doing that over the next few days for sure. Servo glitching is so easy tho  haha, I hope the snapper mounting is just as easy... I'll have a read up on it. My crowning achievement on here was stacking 2 supervolts on top of each other in my first week which was "impressive for someone so new" I believe... Hopefully I can replicate that here.
We have plenty of tutorials you can check out: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=17300.0 I recommend Sage's for snapper loading.
Lots has changed since 2010 then? Any upcoming tournaments this year or is the attention turning to RA3 now?
Take a look in the tournament's section. Nothing stock right now but I'm sure one will come around.

Welcome back. Lot's to catch up on.
Maybe browse some people's showcases to see what building is like these days.

I was under the impression mounting a Ztek on a servo made it spin faster? Or was that my silly teenage mind being silly?
This is true, though the same is true for mounting on the Snapper II I believe which is the lighter option.

It's a silly thing to ask. Just allow it and stick to whatever rulest you are building in.

Evidently it works, though.
It's an HS, it will naturally do quite well but the nature of this bot means you might as well have more weapons to beat other HS. Unless you're going for a fast, trappy style HS which would also require a different setup.

Give it a go either way and you'll have a much more effective bot.

I would question why it needs that much drive given it's an HS.

I don't do modding but shouldn't it be quite easy to raise the elimination zone up a bit?

You would think, but when I was looking at the arena file earlier (to change out the start points), I didn't notice anything clearly labeled "kill_zone" or whatever.  (The start points were labeled "startpoint" or something like that, so those were easy to swap.)
Code: [Select]
def Tick(self):
        for each in self.players:
            if plus.getLocation(each)[1] < 1.5:
                plus.eliminatePlayer(each)
Just increase the 1.5 to some higher value.

We can do a grudge match with the fixed arena if you don't want to change it now.

I highly advise not editing the arena at this time ('this time' being after matches have already been conducted.) You'd be changing the way certain robots perform (I.e. Mr AS's bot) and you'd be changing the rules without permission. By all means, if you think you can make the case to change the arena, make the case.
I'd consider it fixing an arena bug rather than changing the rules.
I feel like it's an implied rule that bots are eliminated when they exit the arena.

Obviously you run this stuff so I'll defer to your judgement. Can't wait to see how derpy the match ends up.

Welcome back d-lark. Good to see you.
Cool not but as said earlier the srimech seems a bit pointless.

I would count that as an arena bug tbh. I believe my not would do the same thing if it landed correctly.
