I don't know if anyone picked up on it, but Ben's robot kind of reminds me of Wheels Are Tasty 4 from NFX.

Managed to find my way into the first DSL showcase on Aceuplink. As far as I can tell this is both my first showcased DSL bot anywhere, but the first showcased DSL bot on AU:

Huh.... that almost looks like a prototype version of Mr. Self Destruct or Moros.

The Butcher
Needed a bit of BFE but looks are cool. Slow though.

It's supposed to be slow. If memory serves me correctly, The Butcher's top speed was only a measly 5 MPH, which would make it the slowest amongst Inertia Lab's robots.

Partially. You should turn your flails so that they move left and right, not up and down. Otherwise, you've got the general idea of flails.

this box looks nothing like Rammstein O.o

Does this?

Stats:
Armor: 3mm Plastic
Motors: 6x Slimbodies on 6x Rubber Wheels; 1 Storm Piston for Weapon
Weapon: 1x 70cm Pole Spike
Power: 6x Ant Batteries and 1x Large Puma

I know it's got some things that still need to be worked out (the graphics have always lacked for me; I'm not terribly creative), but it's a lot closer to being a finished product.

Cool Reps Badnik. Was Whirligig bulit by the same creator of Towering Inferno because they look almost the same.

They don't look at all alike IMO. Whirligig was built by the builder of nightmare.
You can find the 3.0 version in Replica Wars 2 (my rep that did not well at all) and the original was in a smaller box sans weapon.
The one that Purse flipped out of the arena?

Yep. Remember, the original Whirligig looked nothing like the last one. Only ones that were close were the 4.0 and 5.0 versions of it. You can find the 3.0 version in Replica Wars 2 (my rep that did not well at all) and the original was in a smaller box sans weapon.

I can honestly see why the guy edited the page...

Same here. The page that has been there for a while is severely bloated and needed a hefty trimming. Discospinster did the right thing, and whoever is editing over there is in the wrong.

CORRECTNESS TALLY:

Preytor- 1
Badnik- 0

Breaker Box did compete, but forefeited his first and only match.

Hold it. From what I've seen on YouTube, that isn't true. He tapped out after getting his butt kicked.

This may be troubling for my robot, seeing that it probably could suicide out of the arena if one of the walls are down.

Outside of talking to yourself, I'm happy that this is up and at 'em!

Robot coming in a few minutes!

...or not, seeing as if I don't have it saved on my computer. It'll come by tomorrow, though.

My car is largely the same make and model of Andrew's: a 1996 Buick Century. Also, same as Andrew, it just won't die. It should have been totaled twice already, but repairs have kept it alive and well... for now. Once I get out of college and can settle down, I'll be getting a new car.

Hopefully, it'll be one that doesn't get totaled or one that the sister-in-law eventually catches on fire.

Ah, ok.

It should be the SFTW of the tourney, and you'll see why. Once this opens, I mean.

Oh, really? Have you built a cube version of First Round Finale? I think not!

Got the first real snow of the winter season yesterday. However, it was little more than a coating of the white stuff. The real bad portions won't happen until the new year, anyway.

Same stats as popup.

This reminds me quite a bit of BBEANS6 competitor Primal Instincts X.

Wouldn't it be FIRST ROUND FINALE!3?

Except for without that pesky chassis? Yes, yes it would. I may just enter this into CC IV and get an SFTW award on the way out.

Took me long enough to think of a new robot, and boy is it a doozy. Introducing WTF Mate!?.

Yeah, I decided to go off the deep end and build this. Everything's visible, and AFAIK, is NOT combat ready what-so-ever.

The stats:
Drive: 2 Drive E-Tek's (it deserves one of these:  :rage )
Wheels: 2 Vlads
Armor: Plastic 1
Front End: 80cm Polycarb extender on Metal Hinge, 2x80cm Polycarb extender on Skirt Hinge

Essentially, this is supposed to get under the other robot and knock it out of the arena, but... that sure isn't working. Any tips or pointers or comments about how stupid I am for going overboard on the drive?

So I'm up against Whirligig in Round 1? Right.
It depends on how fast Whirligig can get up to speed and if it can flip over and hit Purse's lid. From what I can see though, it looks a bit weak, so if I can flip it around enough to cause damage, I could possibly OOTA it or damage it enough to win.

You've got it right to an extent. It can't flip over (for some reason or another; I wish I knew how), and that weapon's a bit suspect. However, it does have 5 mm Alu (mainly for realism purposes, as Whirligig was made out of 6061 Aluminum), so it won't be that easy to strike down.
