It`s not my system. I just remember someone sugessted it. I think it was JB or someone
And then I added the bit on no splashes  :P

Are we allowed to pick our own pose?  When I'm showing off a cardboard replica I put an unnecessary amount of work into selecting the right angle and light.

@freez Isn't it 13 slots though because you're also reserving one for yourself?

I'll add that to the list then - we have this place around the corner that sells lovely jacket potatoes :3

JACKET POTATO?  (skip to 0:24 if you wish)

why don`t we use the system (I can`t remember who it was) suggested?
everyone sends the bot in, freez makes a splash and a poll. the 16 bots with the most votes will be in. (14 in this case cause of Mike and me)

I'm in strong support of this.  Those 14 spaces are going to fill up FAST in a "first come first serve" setup, and this will also help us prevent arguments about "unrealistic"

Careful, you don't want to say "Yugioh" and "34" in the same sentence.

Yes, yes I am.

Also, how does a 45 point system even work?

I'm assuming that it's the system they used in Battlebots - up to 5 points apiece for damage, aggression, and strategy using the zero-sum formula for awarding points.  However, we have not been given a solid definition of what consistutes "strategy."

Can you explain your judging system in more detail?  The link you provided uses a 33-point system whereas you use a 45-point.  I'm assuming that's because you'll be doing an equal-weight Damage, Aggression, and Strategy.  In which case, what is the criteria for strategy, it's not covered in the RFL guidelines?

Whenever I say "I....I gave in" it's usually followed by  "and bought a...."

So I thought maybe you were an avid Apple hater who just got an Ipad, or maybe you bought the 3DS despite there being no good games on it yet.

Now, you're not from the south. Only me, ACAMS, and HA can talk like that.

That's "ACAMS, HA, and I"

What ever you do , do not make it Anime-related. Anime is a Japanese cartoon with emotion. And it fails.

Good thinking.  I'm sure that's exactly what Scourge was going to do if you didn't stop her.

PS, Most cartoons are from a country and have some kind of emotion, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

I was imitating a straw-idiot with my post - there are people who acutally believe that the sport would be better if that rule was removed.

All pyrotechnics,flames,

So Sgt. Bash was illegal?

It's the rules from Robot Wars, yes, but it only applied to the competitiors - house robots were given some exceptions because they were in more capable hands.

"All pyrotechnics, explosives,   flames, firearms, corrosives, liquids, electronic devices - e.g. radio   jamming, heat-guns and Tesla coils - are banned."

Seriously; what's up with that?  Am I right guys?

I didn't know there was a Thermidor replica in DSL.  Is it in a recent update or something?

So how'd this pass approval?

You don't need approval in the Challenge board, just someone who's willing to film.

You do realize that is one of the  most famous RA2 bots, right?

Sentinel would probably be the most iconic and famous robot of Ra2 if anything, not that ugly ass monstrosity of a thing in that logo TheBadger made.

Yeah I can see that I'm going to be branded as a terrible Absolute Chaos hater, so let me just say that I never said AC was a bad fighter, just that it looked ugly and unrealistic - things to consider when we're trying to attract new users.

Do you actually have to reatake the classes, or just get better marks  in the fall?
Just get better marks, I think. Enough to pass.

Take easy classes and work your way back up.  I remember one semester where I not only juggled 4 high-level classes, but was also living on campus for the first time.  I fell swift and hard.  But I got back on my feet after I spent the next semester taking low-level classes.  I don't know if your uni is the kind that gives you hte opportunity to take electives, but if so, maybe spend some of those elective hours retaking the classes to improve your grades.

Good luck with that (No sarcasm intended).

If your mom made you split up with your girlfriend, she would probably try to hang herself again. Sorry to lower the mood, but it is most likely true.

If she would really hang herself over that then she needs to get help. It is not ok to threaten people with suicide.

Keep mine off.  I think you and your mum can work through this in a less aggressive way.
