For those of you who still play online, I recomend downloading the low lag arena from the BeetleBros' site: It is the least laggy arena you can get and may help your lag issues online: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/robotarena.htm

Most likely. Same reason as to why I can't host without Hamachi anymore: I got a new computer with a firewall and a router.

By chance. I chose this over some saturday night racing game at the toy store my mom worked at. I hadn't watched Robot Wars since I was a little kid but I had thought about a game a little. I think it was a last second decision as I was headed out the door to get RA2 instead of the other game (I paid $14.99 for the game too, at this point I can say money well spent.) I barely found the official forums back in '06 and worked my way up from there. In that time period I've grown up with RA2 and this community.
One of these days I'm going to recreate my first ever bot to showcase here. Maybe try to replicate some of my old bots from before I joined the forums...

Unfortunately I don't catch the reference... I probably will once you point it out. I miss vert too... He was pretty much my inspiration when i was starting out. Fought him online alot before I started playing with Inf and Sage.

Welcome to online RA2, where lag isn't just an occasional occurrence, its a part of everyday life.

If you need the space sage and Infinite agrees, I think we deserve another go at the Rolo/Spyguy team.

I had the same problem when I first started using it too.

Maybe 3mm titanium and some armor underneath? I dunno. It looks nice though.

Sage helped me get this Hamachi thing all figured out... if anyone wants to play some stock let me know, but I don't have too many bots.

unfortunately bots would not fit inside the armor, making it very hard to do damage. I had to redesign and it is no longer anywhere near as stable.

1mm ti, has to decide between 1mm ti and 2 ant batts or 1mm steel and only the 4 battlepacks... went with the ant batts. this thing is really stable, haven't tested it in combat yet though. And yes, those are skis for armor.

Or make it so they fit together like 2 puzzle pieces

I'm in for this... I'll try developing a couple MWs that actually work together.

Alternatively you could ditch the wedge and make the extenders used to attach the weapons longer. Still a very cool bot.

Its actually the same chassis as my BBEANS3 entry (and my only other LW) My Playstation Gone Wild, which is why the skin says "Sony" on it. The reason it was angled downward was to hit wedges, but I thought he had meant the angle extenders.
I would use 2 razor tips but I ran into the connection point limit and couldn't attach the extra extender... I could mount it off of another baseplate anchor instead of the 20cm that the plow is attached with.

I ran in most cases a series of three tests unless something strange happened and I would disclude that round...
I know that there are more factors beyond the builder's control, I'll add a disclaimer to the front. My tests were ran under 'ideal' conditions; I.E. No speed (or low speed charge if there was a stalemate between the two), the bots were as exact as possible, I only moved components that needed to be moved (the ones i was testing), and I made sure to line the bots up as straight as I possibly could.
I'll test the weight distribution of the motors next... Its likely that that is the cause now that you say that. I would mod the motor weight if I understood component modding... That type of thing is beyond me. One thing I could do is put the burst motor on the other side of the drive motors... I'll test that tomorrow most likely.
