Played it, enjoyed singleplayer, even if it wasn't as good as the original and criminally short. The multiplayer made me want to rip my hair out, though. Terrible weapon balance, BS knifing, throwing knives, whining kids whose balls haven't dropped yet, etc.
Singleplayer, 8/10 Multiplayer, 3/10
In other words you lost a bunch, got mad, and decided not to play again.

Agree with Ian. It's become an RA2 forum where 80% of the posts have little to do with the game. The section that should have the most posts (Stock/DSL Showcase) by far, is beaten out by the Junk Yard. Story time is the most useless thing I've ever seen. There's maybe 5 builders where I actually enjoy looking in their showcase, while the rest don't have any inclination to get better and reject our advice. (See, Sparkey's 90 page 0 good bot showcase)
If you don't want to get better at building or modding OR you want to but are too young to know whats going on, get off the RA2 forum.

Axle wedges are worthless in Stock. Mounting things on axles is very difficult (advanced snapper loading required) and usually just leads to havok.

It's actually more weight-efficient to build it off of a Snapper II.
Wrong. The chassis weight saved isn't really enough to cover the 8 kgs that a SnapperII saves you.

Battle axe setup reminds me of something.... Both look well built, specially the hammer. Insides? (I musta missed the first version somewhere)

Hey, download DSL in my sig. So much easier than anything else. Should probably even get rid of the install tutorial and just post this link so we dont have to keep telling people.

SM 8kg less extender? *looks at ULTIMATUM* so you only used 2 20cms? That's not cloning, that's a new bot :) Do you mean you used the same chassis setup?
EDIT: and ULTIMATUM was built before I knew how to snapper load.
Same chassis setup, I think it's just as air tight. I had it all done and needed to stack one more black in to finish it of then it started crashing my game.
Simple setup: Drive on normal snapper attach point
20cm attached on the circular attach point when the normal point was loaded away a bit. This meant it loaded off when the normal point returned to its place and so didn't get in the way. Then I EFFE'd the motors on.
Was going to have 2 stacked blacks + CB
I know, you probably learned that technique from my video :)

But yea Daemon, go build some more bots. Leave the jokes thread to people like SSG who actually have funny pictures. As for how smart I am, lets see you try to build this:
This is one hell of a brain twister. Few can envision the rotation of each extender snapper loaded off the axle as they float through space, as well as knowing exactly which extender is which while still maintaining the mental image of the final product as they rotate the motors on the extenders, and then having the peace of mind to not get frustrated when making a mistake and having to redo it seven times.
EDIT: 9 times, not 7 :)
Not bad, is he invertible?2 blacks?weight?(I guess ~770kg) I had something like this, but it wasn't invertible.
Shows how much you know about bot building >.>

(unless it's a hammer, but I don't think it will still happen). :P
Yea, what kind of a noob would build a hammer?
I've built hammers. And VS. But they have failed rather epicly so i haven't showcased them. I'll keep working on them. :P
It was a joke, cause I used to make a ton of hammers :)

BTRSHDBBDDTBL award: BackScratch it may look messy (sorry Sage, I still love you) but it was the main robot I didnt want to face, would have made short work of many others given the chance.
Bahaha I actually thought I kept it pretty clean considering all the crap I shoved on that thing xD But yea, lotsa extenders :V

Combat Arms is a hacker's wet dream.
Why so? No anti-cheat system?
There's anti-cheat systems, but the hacks still work. Most people don't use them, and when they do you can kick them. It's a great game with more guns than any FPS ever.
