I don't get the point of all that armor on the motor, when you have a wide open chassis and 50kg worth of weapons.

Know that no amount of armors can save you after all your weapons break.

Well, if you put an axle in the middle instead of metal hinge, you can have some kind of invertible axle wedge (and the 8 extra kg can buy you a wedge with higher HP).  The sacrifice would be the lost of some wedge power, which might simply be too great to afford.

Well, there are still some demands for long hours, low pay manual labors, which doesn't require passing classes.

Of course, that's not to say that graduating HS (or even college) really makes that much a difference with the increase rate of academic inflation.  However, the habit of working hard is something anyone would have to deal with regardless of how he/she intend to make a living.  Even a bum have to spend hours digging garbage cans for food and recyclables in exchange for a few bucks.

The few things that I know of that leads to crashing while match starts

1.  Naming error (different name in binding/actual bot)
2.  Component error (using a component that you don't have)
3.  You left F12 on

Could be my mistake, but I thought that's what the pistons are for.

If it isn't for glitching, then it isn't very good since it only got 400 hp.

Lol if there are only flail SnS, the current bot I want to enter would probably lose on the first match.

Almost makes me want to enter a flail on flail on flail sns.  Back to the drawing board again I guess.

Also, is there are rule for "must show controlled movement"?  I mean I don't think you want to see a ball with spikes.

You're probably better off with stronger wedge and weaker plows.  Invest the kg into a double wedge system.  There's no point of having a popup if you can't wedge someone.

If you are going to angle the top row as stopper, it's probably better with iron spike than razor simply because they are longer.

Okay I am in.  My bot is pretty much done, just need a name, some test runs, and AI.  Should be able to send it in either later tonight or tomorrow (whenever I come up with a name).

Edit:  So now that I am done, I just pm you with the link?

^^ Lol is that so?  At least for normal Stock components I haven't find one yet.

So you are going to have a cheat AI pack with indestructible parts?

Hey good news, components that are directly mounted to chassis cannot deal damage.  So while your bot will be indestructible and all, at least you can't deal damage either.

Since the last extender is only connected to 1 weapon (is that steel or titanium?), maybe you can replace them with small beater bars instead.

Maybe.  I just assumed when he said "shorter", he meant height (and not width and length).

There is a tutorial on that in the tutorial area on gametechmod webpage.

The closest description I can give

Before you start, back up your bot file

1.  First, open the bot file with notepad++ (Unix Format).  This is important as some other text edit programs (like ultraedit or pspad) will mess up your bot file.

2.  Scroll down (or use the search function) to find "chassis"

3.  Now, about 12 or so lines down there's a number with a lot of decimal places (between .44 and 1.32), copy this number.  To make sure you got the right number, there's also another integer to it's right (don't copy this too by accident), and a "true or false" right below.

4a.  If it saids false right below this number, all you have to do is change the number describe above (this is the case if you use one of the auto create shape function).

4b.  If it saids true, it means you created the chassis using custom define point (which also mean that the game have to record your height separately), use the search function and find all the instance where this number shows up, and you will have to change all of them  **They should all be in one cluster anyway**, making it easy to find.

Sounds about right.  While it does vary depending on your area, Cable tends to have pretty fast DL speed.

What internet connection you are using?

I would assume it only works for people with a higher connection speed than the default respond time of the website you are visiting.  Or at least, you probably won't be zooming anywhere with dial up.

As far as Cheat Engine and virus goes,

Cheat Engine will usually show up as a virus because it is a tool intended to modify your low level memory (so you can replace assembly codes and the like).  That is not to say the version the person got is clean.  It just means that even a clean copy will still result in false positive.

I was also going to ask how you determine who is a newbie, since it's difficult to judge base on skill level, and join date/post counts are fundamentally flawed (I mean there were LRA2).
