Weather forecast for tomorrow: The high is 28 degrees and the low is 16 degrees. Did I mention that the wind will just intensify the cold?
Maybe this would be acceptable if there was some snow on the ground, but there is none where I live. In other words, AW HELL NO!

Pretty sure that RA2 only works on PC. Might want to ask around though.
I remember that Zog had a thread about this. I can't find it though, so here is my answer: There exists a free program made by Oracle (the guys that made Java) called VirtualBox that runs virtual machines, which are basically operating systems inside other operating systems, kinda like video game console emulators. Your best option is to set up a Windows XP virtual machine on VirtualBox (XP is getting the axe in April, so Microsoft probably won't care if someone downloads a product that they are no longer profiting off of anyways). Although this might not work as desired. There is a company called VMware that is dedicated to stuff with to do with virtual machines. Their products are usually hailed as the best, but I can't figure out if they're Mac-compatable or not and the VMs are generally expensive. And yes, RA2 is PC only. It works on any Windows OS newer than--and including--Windows 98. You also need DirectX 8.1+ installed on the VM before RA2 can be run, although DirectX 8.1 is included on the CD and could problably be downloaded elsewhere (XP supports up to DX9). If all else fails, then the only choice would to be to buy a PC. A good Windows 8 laptop with a touchscreen generally goes for anywhere between $350US and $600US, but some of the fancier models are more expensive.

Recently, some guy called Mr. AwesumSauce discovered how to stack Z-teks without external editors. You should check out his showcase; he is basically the standard in Stock building.
As for Jesuit y Toro, you should choose whether to make it a rammer or a flipper. Its your choice on which one, but here's what you should do in either situation.
If you are making Jesuit y Toro a rammer, then you have a few options in regards to weapons. Axe heads and 30cm pole spikes are pretty good, save for the fact that they are somewhat hampered by normals. The "big three" weapons in Stock, Razors, Irons, and Maces, might end up being better options. As for a weapon rack, you could either use a wider chassis and mount everything on a bunch of baseplate anchors or use a few BA's and some extenders.
If Jesuit y Toro is becoming a flipper, then this might not be the best idea. There is a very popular sub-type of flipper called a popup that is basically a hammer that hits the underside of the target bot. These popups have made flippers very outdated, non-damaging designs that are only seen in the plethora of DSL-IRL tournaments of the modern day. On the other hand, a flipper is not something seen every day in Stock building, and an unpredictable design could, if done right, guarantee victory while still within the rules. Although flippers aren't very good, so make it a popup. There are so many Stock popups out there that it isn't very funny.
I can't believe that I'm giving advice to a veteran. And I can't wait to see your next creation of madness, whatever it may be.

Or: you can just use 3 baseplate anchors. That frees up enough weight for you to upgrade to Ztek drive. It also won't havok at all.
Or: I could use two, as I did here: Armor is still DSA. I decided to make it an undercutter HS. Its no longer a PHB. I also added Z-tek drive. Stacking the anchors like that was easier said than done. Wow, these are really short sentences. Thoughts?

Hi I'm rnifnuf and I'm a bumpaholic. Armor is DSA, the weapon motor is HPZ. I'm out of clever ways to introduce bots. Here is Buzzsaw, named so because it was originally a sawbot, then I realized that Stock sawbots really suck about as much as... things that really suck. ADVANTAGES: +Somewhat fast +Good fast weapons +Invertible +Highly funky DISADVANTAGES: -Exposed weapon motor -PHB (Potential Havoklear Bomb: A bot that could potentially cause extreme havok explosions) Thoughts?

Yeah, Super Rotary Warhead's an SnS, although it takes a long time to spin up and spins very slowly due to having far too much armor and only 2xNPC-F drive. I was considering making it 4x NPC-Fs and stripping the armor so I could mount an additional arm on a tribar or something.
Do this. A slow SnS is about as ineffective as... a slow SnS. Also, if the SnS is fast, then the bot's chassis can't be reached as easily as the chassis of a slow SnS.

How much HP do those plates have? Also are mags still 400 hp in DSL3?
The small plates have 1.5k or so off the top of my head. Pretty sure all the small Mags are somewhere around 2k though.
I used 40x60 plates, which have 2400HP and 100 fracture. As for mag drives, they have 2045HP. Also, I got the wheels on there through snapper loading. If I wanted to, I could change the minis to growlers or hypnos, but they might not touch the arena floor properly, resulting in RA2-trademark nOnSeNsE (copyright 2491 RA2 & Comrades GmbH SA inc. Obligatory minibump. Fixed. Armor is still Titanium 3. I sacrificed a bit of drive speed for the side armor plates. Originally the cutting teeth were there to protect the extenders like how ice picks do for Stock rammers, but then I figured out that the armor plates did that job just fine and protects the motors at the same time. Thoughts? And no, this isn't the third time that this was deleted and reposted. rnifnufmode.jpg

Well there are ways to get 3d programs, just have to google a bit harder.
Fun fact: Autodesk offers free 36-month licenses for their software. They are, however, reserved for students (middle school, high school, and college) and you aren't allowed to make profit off of anything you make with it.

So, something like this? I substituted Aluminium for the polys so they're not one-hit-knockoffs for other VSes.
(Image removed from quote.)
Exactly. Though check to make sure that the ground clearance (distance between the bottom of the bot and the floor) is as low as possible. One thing you could do to potentially lower the ground clearance is reduce the angle at which the skirts are tilted (relative to the chassis, of course). Whenever we talk about things being "static" or "moving," we are referring to the thing relative to the chassis.

I'm boring you guys all to death with my super generic popups, aren't I? xD
Pah, I've seen worse. I've made worse (See: Cutting Wedge II). That said, Challenger is not DSL-Standard because the razors cut through the batteries. Move the BSG-200s and/or the ants to fix that. Everything else should be fine. As for the HS... What you need is a wide support structure that somewhat sticks out in front of the bot, preferably 80cm Angled Titanium skirts on extenders (Poly extenders should be fine). All of the flippermakers have two side attachment points. Put your extenders on those, and then have your skirts on the end of those extenders with the pointy tip facing outward. The rest of the bot is pretty good, but if you're really desperate, then replace the hypnos with wide ants.

Elementos, did you get my bot? I sent it to you, but it isn't on the list.

(shame it's not invertible though)
You've been here for about seven months, surely you know how to make a "minimum-height" chassis. If you don't, you have to click the very bottom pixel of the height slider at the "Step 2" page when making a chassis. If that is a 30*80(?) bar, make it a 20*80 bar. Or you might eliminate the bar entirely to leave weight for more weapons. Also, you don't need the ripping cutting teeth. Just add more beaters onto the ends of the existing beaters. These things will help to make it invertible, which is basically required for a rammer of any weight class.

2. Holy sh!t moment? Pokemon Y: Lysandre siding with and taking over Team Flare.
He was the head of it the whole time..
Correction: finding out that he led Team Flare is my HSM (Holy Sh!t Moment).

It would benefit from 1 extra ant for sure. It has enough amps, but electotal is lacking...
You know what it would benefit from even more? A battlepack. Armor is Titanium 3 I completely redid the chassis to make this possible. Here are some calculations to show that this was a good idea: 3 Ants (DSL3) x 5523 Electoral/ant=16569 electoral for 18kgs 1 Battlepack (DSL3) x 17042 Electoral/battlepack=17042 electoral for 15kgs 103% of the power for 83% of the weight. And since the game stops caring about amps when the requirements are fulfilled, this is great. 'Nuff said. 'Nifnuf said. The only bad thing brought about by this change is that the mags are exposed. Botherations. Also the baseplate anchors are at the same height inside of the chassis, they just don't look like it. Thoughts?

My Gaming year 2013. 1. Favorite game? Pikmin 3. No joke, my playing sessions last longer than my Wii U Gamepad's battery... on medium volume and minimum brightness. 2. Holy sh!t moment? Pokemon Y: Lysandre siding with and taking over Team Flare. 3. Best theme? Anything from Pokemon Y or Pikmin 3. 4. Most disappointing game? If I really had to choose, it would be Zombi U. It was kinda meh, although it was the first M-rated game I ever owned. 5. Looking forward to? Mario Kart 8, DSL3 (at least the next beta), South Park: The Stick of Truth Also Scrapmatch, because that's how Sic rolls: getting ~75 people from around the world psyched about a game that's so early in development that it hurts.

A crap ton of Christmas specials.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. 3.228/5, too overly dragged out and nowhere near the book but otherwise epic.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: 6/5 Made this the hap hap happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny f@$king Kaye.

also magikarp ftw.
ANOTHER BELIEVER
So true I mean hack the game and give it awesome moves like Seed Flare... Play your friends in multiplayer = priceless
But that's cheaty. And you can legitimately obtain a Lv. 100 Magikarp in Platinum--I've done it before. Just fish with the Super Rod at the Resort Area (post-game only).
