It's a shame I missed the chance to enter another robot. I've just came back home after bringing my lass home from the hospital. Could've knocked a new entry up tonight. Ahh well.

So how will the brackets be formed around the number of entry teams?

Hey you got some nice stuff.
(And also you should do what HereticBlue said; make the texture file's size bigger before you paste your images in, like on that wallpaper in the test lab)
Yeah considering I've sent the message from the hospital, It would be nice to know my post has been read. :P

« on: August 01, 2014, 03:09:55 PM »
Finally got signal!

The reskin is a very good attempt. But as you've noticed, the skin is pixelated. What I'm doing for my mod is reskinning all of the stock arenas but before I change the skin, I double the size of the file/pixel amount to increase the quality of the new graphic in the game and that contributes to the HD look in the mod I'm working on. If the graphic file is below 72 x 72 pixels then it's not work changing.

Looking forward to seeing how this improves.

Also google is always a good place to look for textures, preferably over 800 pixels depending on what they're for. And if you can't change the colour of an image your using then find a graphic that has the act same colours as the other graphics your using.

Well you know I'll be helping out when the Official RW Mod is done. With Trovs help we should be able to get the old gauntlet working.

Cheers lads!

Mystic2000, Wham started it off and the first replicas that were released in his BETA are well... his! but the majority of the robots that will be in the pack now are all my doing, I've made almost 50 now so you can expect the Mod to be very large!

Yes, there will be new components such as axe heads, flippers, wedges, scoops, batteries, and armour.

Here is something I've knocked up very quickly, Kronic.

The skin isn't as high def as the others I've made so it could be replaced at some point.

Hey mate, how large do you want your Chin Killa scoop? I would make it to scale but because you use already existing components I understand that it might not be in scale and the scoop could look far too large.

As good as the reskins are, how does the term 'Ghetto' qualify as a suitable name for this pack?

I can't figure out how the knockout tournament works.  The hexagon robot finished last in Stock Car but didn't get eliminated. Also, REX2 is painted red later in the episode for some reason.

Sssshhh, just relax and listen to the wacky sound effects.

I watched it muted, expecting the childish irritating sounds.  :gawe:
Sounds like it was a good decision!

My apologies if my post sounds somewhat negative, it's more inconclusive if anything. Just wondering how genuinely though out this is or if the Korean's have done another cheap copy of something European, like their clothes industry.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the information on the website seems to say 75kg weight limit on competitor robots.... What weight class would that be? Middlishbutalittlebitheavybutnotbymuchweight class?

Every other country who has any knowledge of robot combat in that fashion seems to take into account the same standards as the rest of the world. The Dutch, the Germans, the Australian, the Italians and the Caribbean all take the national weight classes into account, it does seem odd that the Koreans are trying to be so different.

If your wondering how I know about the Caribbean's, I've got family in Trinidad. Mind they did get Robot Wars Extreme Warriors on TV!

Apparently this is the website, translated. Can't work out how recent the show is. Basnik96? You seem to know everything about it. :P

I like how there seems to be no restrictions on weight! Odd. Strange that a Korean team never took part in the us or UK.

If you need a couple of teams to fill it up, I can do a pair of simplistic robots for a laugh that can don't necessarily have to belong to anyone. I'm just eager to see how this tourney turns out as you've planned it. Asking for another 16 members to take part is a tall order and I don't think there are frequent enough members at this point to fill up those spaces.

Sorry lads, I've been very busy. I started this at the same time as Meggamouse, came back home for a couple of hours so I finished it. Now I'm dashing out again!

I hope you like the addition of Gravity 5.2 lads!

If I was a mod, I'd change your member status from 'Roboteer' to 'Pizzaria.' What on earth possessed you to make that? :P

Thanks lads, Glad you all like it! I am damn pleased with it. I think Since Bonk, my skills have improved quite noticeably, at least to me!

Picture direct to skin, and it even fits. Very nice work, HB.
Did you get my PM?
Yeah I did mate, I sent you a quick reply using the microphone thingy on my IPad, I didnt read it through mind so I don't know how understandable it is!

Nice update to MM. It looks even better with the ears on.

Also, best of luck in regards to your increased responsibility as an uncle.

I hate to ask this since you have a lot on your plate right now, but are you still open to commissions?
Cheers mate and Thanks for the luck, but to be honest I've already got three other nieces! One of which is two days older than me so technically I've been an uncle since the second I was born!

I am indeed available for paid commissions but not quite yet. I've still got to make Tommy his Chin-Killa scoop which to be honest is a five minute job in 3DS but a ten minute job with GMF coding, txt files and component folder faffing so I've been a bit selfish and putting it off.  :rage

At first glance I thought that was the actual robot, not kidding.
How the hell can the game handle that?

I don't know to be honest, there is quite a lot of detail inside and at the rear. The game itself can handle quite a bit but the GMF compiler can't so I usually have to delete a few details to export components but with Meggamouse, I didn't!

This is something I started quite a while ago, mainly because its the only Cassius that competed in live events where as the others were just used for display purposes. I got home about an hour ago and decided to detail the interior a little bit.

What do you think lads?
