But if it were any kind of radiation/emission, it would be some sort of 'undiscovered' frequency on the electromagnetic scale, if anything past gamma radiation frequencies, and so the energy transfer would be huge. And you'd need a Faraday Cage to stop EM radiation. You'd need to earth the foil hat if you wanted to stop anything at all (apart from light waves. They ARE stopped by foil hats, but that's it.) ...I'm WAY too tired to be any nerdier than that...
