Hahah! I could not tell how many irons you had with the helicopter-view screenshots you made.
Yeah I noticed it when I read the tutorial you posted :P

Bravo to you.  You, sir, have a lot of potential. Keep up the great work.
Thank you ;) I think its time for me to check other showcases, I hope I find both "you-could-do-better" and "you-are-a-master" bots? xD

Wha-heyyyyyy! Larrian, I think you should read this quick tutorial. It would help your current bot. (irons set up the way you have them set up is not very effective.)

I set the irons just like on step 10 of your tutorial but with another extender coming out the second one diagonally for a total of 3 irons, and btw I had seen it already on Sparkey's Showcase xD

Ah, and thank you

Larrian,

Many people make the same mistake xD

maybe take off the rear one? then stack a black?

Hahahah It worked, but I also had to put plastic armor on to let the blacks stack below the weight limit..

But it took just toooooooo long for the blacks to overlap

like this

Hahah I didnt think of it.. maybe I can attach two extenders instead of one for the front plow and put the ztek in there w/out a T thing :P

Lets see if it works..

EDIT: It worked on both the front and back, but I think it needs another battery (I cant stack anything else inside because its completely filled and Its on the weight limit)

every time I use that glitch........my...bot.....explodes

as for the bot, put the front plow back on, looks like it might need it, also, you could put another HS on the front, don't know what that'd do though

...Explodes??

The battleshots were taken before I put the plows on, so they are already there
And how do I put another HS? There is no space left xD

I made another bot now, but it doesnt do as good as the others (and of course it does better than Blind Wind)

Its a HS with 3 irons at the end of each tribars's arms. When I took the battleshots I hadnt named it yet and it didnt have the front and rear snowplows, because at that time they were there just for protecting the wheels, but I then noticed it needed extra armor.

I know I should build to the weight limit, but I didnt know what to put in there. :P

*Mass applause*
But you only need 1 Black batt for 4 HPZ's.
Nice job stacking 'em BTW.:D
Thank you
Ive read somewhere that someone said 1 black wasnt enough for the 4 hpz so I tried with 2 :P

Lawn mower blades aren't the best choice for weapons. Go with irons.
I couldnt, rule of seven

I made another bot, this one has two lawnmower blades on the top, a very small chassis and stacked blacks  it just worked suddenly. I wanted to post this because I liked how it turned out, it doesnt even wobble.

The bad things about this is that its easily flipped (even with a spinner!! They dont flip, do they? yes they throw my bot and it ends up inverted), the red bracket thing in front of it is easily broken and after it is, it turns so unstable that its chassis is totally vulnerable. It was killed in less than 10 seconds once..

At least, if it gets flipped, the weapon acts as a srimech.

you're awsome!!!!!!!!!!!! can I have a download???
Hahah
Oh, I didn't export it. lemme look for Bot2.bot in my teams folder..

EDIT: It was nameless so I went into the game to rename it and suddenly got an idea for a flipper..
Sparkey98's Cheese Bot Download xP

Larrain, you are brilliant. There is no doubt about it.

Remove a top row castor in the middle and attach a Razor on an anchor to score points.

It would become an underweight LW

Btw Sparkey, I was so bored I had to do this xD:

PS: I think I dont need to tell what that is.

That's still a beetleweight. Ants are 125.0 kg or less.
Yes I mistaken the name and class, and noticed too late lol.

this is just the way I'd do it, but try to put a small caster above each
don't know if that helps, but when I built mine, I did that ;D

Thanks Scrap Daddy, I managed to make the bot invertible with your advice

EDIT 2: EDIT: Mistaken the name o_O

The wheels are now higher than the bot

No need to stack anything

And it now runs inverted

I have a aw similar to this.

Anyway when adjusting the height of a bot, slam the bar to the bottom. Then slowly lift it up. You will notice it goes up in notches and certain components need a certain height.
Black battery with cb- 2 notches
Nifty- 3 notches. This is what you will need for this bot.
HP Z-Tek- 5 notches
Green snapper- 6 notches.

You might have to learn how to stack the cb into the nifty though.

Ok thanks, I didn't know it was so exact :o
And I cannot stack a cb into niftys, blacks into blacks, or any kind of snapper, so yes..
I can at least overlap ballasts (wow useless), anchors, ermm.. wow i didnt know i couldnt stack nearly anything..

My next bot will have a caster setup like this. I was working on it, took a break, and now I see this. >:O
Lol, that happens a lot as I've seen on other topics :P

wanna battle online?

I have never done it before.. I may need some help first :P
___________
Ok so I just made a beetleweight (under 175 kg, am I right?) and I don't need to tell how this bot works. The name explains it all, but missing the srimech :P

In the Bot Lab

The srimech is on a green snapper2

The srimech WAS in action xD

And doing its job. I won by a glitch tho. It never beat that bot before xD

Ok i updated Tsunami II a little bit, I think it's not a fail anymore. I'm gonna test it now and post pics later maybe.

I would now like to thank Sage for helping me with snapper loading. I guess if I didn't do that glitch the bot would had met 800kg as well as its predecessor xD, and w/out his help I wouldn't had used it :P

EDIT: And it would have another big chassis

Nar was trying to be funny.

Nobody laughed.
I think so :P

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA
I'm laughing. Because your joke isn't funny either. :P
Lol :ermm:

EDIT 2: The bot failed xD

Hi again people :P

Tsunami is still the only robot i've shown o_o I just tried to redesign it but the result was a fail lol. well not really. it's under the weight limit w/out missing any parts but it 'dances'. Some like swinging back and forth, but i couldnt add stabilizers lol (Thats not the only problem tho). I also made a fail flipper xD. I wonder when will I make another good bot :idea2:

It's over 900.0 !

I think ive read it somewhere.. what's BFE?

I think you can shrink that chassis some.

Think of the chassis as the heart of your robot.  Any damage it takes will bring it closer to death. Exposing your motors and wheels outside the chassis is not sin. If you lose a motor or wheel... your bot will be crippled but as long as the chassis remains undamaged you have a better shot. (there are exceptions of course)  I think your bot would fare better in battle if the chassis was smaller.

Think of the black knight from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".  You can lob off an arm... a leg... another arm... but the torso (chassis) keeps the bot fighting.  Don't worry about protecting components with the chassis.  Do the opposite, protect the chassis with the components.

Welcome to the forums. You seem nice and cool. Stick around.

Wow thats a very good way to explain it.. o_O I should show this to my sister lol.. ever since i teach her how to build robots here she's made some robots that look good but perform badly.. I'm not sure if the bots are bad or its her who doesnt control them right.

Yes im thinking of a redesign for Tsunami, with a smaller chassis, maybe two blue snappers, i think it should hide the chassis better than the current one, if a tribar was broken the robot was gone. That shouldnt happen anymore I guess.. (EDIT: Word fixed)

And thanks for the welcome  yes I will log in and post, help, etc as much as i can ^^ I like communities like this :approve:

I think i'll leave the bot like that for now.

If you want to be a better builder it always helps to follow our advice. Trying a more difficult setup with less servos/bursts is a quick way to get better.

"I will, Master" xD
Not sure where did i hear it tho, too many movies..
I usually follow the experienced and skilled people's advices, as well as ask them for help and stuff like that, once i become one of them (of you), I try and help.. hopefully I will one day. I love helping other people

try putting everything on two servos or, even better, two blue snappers. Also, are you using DSA?

I think i'll leave the bot like that for now. And yes, I skipped the armor tab

I recently did a social studies project on Chile lol

lol nice

Back on topic..
I fixed Tsunami's weird overweight and it now weighs 798.9 kg
It now misses 8 maces and a supervolt for making it legal

Here you can see an empty slot on the tribars's arms, there were 3 maces on each arm before the update (4 arms were left unchanged)

And I rotated the servos for showing the inner parts in this pic, there were 2 supervolts before the update
