Tried that already, potter wheels don't attach to beater bars.

just put a steel extender in there instead

Why are the solutions always so obvious yet I can never think of them :P

What are the e-wedges protecting, Mystic? The DDT's?

I'm assuming you've got them in the same position as the bracket wedges on your BTTB bot?

What's up with the random beater bar on the extender?
But yeah potter's wheels are poop for damage, I would just drop it to 2wd with NPCF + techno and use 3 Perm 80s for more weapons but Perm 80s have terrible HP which wouldn't help the durability at all.

The extenders got knocked off a couple of times during testing, so they're there for protection. Prolly a waste of weight though, I admit.

I'll investigate 2wd for sure, that would also make it less of a total knockoff of Somebody's bot.

I'd be looking at ways to shave off a few kg's to increase your reach. For one, could you replace the emergency flippers (as nifty as they look) with something lighter?
E wedges are 14kgs so good luck finding something lighter.

Small wedges? That's an extra 40cm on each side (Though I suspect each hammer needs more than 40cm more reach)

So I tried building something DSL-s that wasn't a flipper today for the first time in maybe 2 years. Heavily inspired by Ripper of Guts, the sawblade VS Somebody won BTTB 2 with. However, the design is quite glass-cannon-y, as the discs are easily knocked off. I've decided to experiment on the other end of the spectrum with durable weapons, and so created this:

Mini wheels because a) they're small, and b) they're not too grippy.

Initial testing had me take ages to hurt bots, though the weapons' durability did mean they tend to outlast quite a few other bots'. This makes me think the bot isn't damaging enough, but I'm not sure if this means change weapons or look for a better way to make sure I hit vulnerable parts of opponents... thoughts?

weight?

Extender work is messy.

lolwut

Anyhow - I'm worried about motor protection. Where do the motors normally sit? I'm assuming they aren't usually at that angle, given the SII rotation.

Also, what weight/how many blacks? Trying to work out if you can get some armour on the thing.

Meant to post some extra matches today but instead I went round S_M's and played RA2 vs Reier, ecolusian, STC and playzooki, so I never edited them.

In their place, I've uploaded the already-edited Losers Bracket Semi Final. Brackets will come eventually.

Enjoy!
