Roses are red,
The curtains were blue,
Analysing poetry is useless crap,
Haven't you got something important to do?
Poets don't give a sh** about the curtains. That's what fiction writers are for.

We're nothing but sacks of meat and bone. Stop worrying so much about sh** that doesn't matter and ****ing live before the electrical impulses that give you life stop animating your corpse.

I study poetry, and you have no idea how much I want to take a red pen to everything in this thread.

I probably first came to this place after RA-Reborn went down. Those guys had the most comprehensive download database at the time, and when they ended the site, I had no other choice than to come here.

I didn't really start posting here until sometime after the official boards went down.

Marching is athletic, but I don't think it counts. (Nor would I say that being a rockstar is a sport.)
Good point, but being a rockstar doesn't mean you get into competitions and win medals.

I usually get all defensive when someone is like "hurr marching band isn't a sport you don't (this) or (that)" so I must excuse myself.
There are battle of the bands events that rock bands often compete in.

Marching Band is a sport, it's competitive, and I compete in it.
I'm on the fence on whether or not it counts. Yes it's physical, and it can be competitive, but I don't know. I've done marching band for over ten years, and I've always considered myself to be more of an artist or entertainer.

A rookie archer draws his bow. He fires the arrow and misses the target completely. He picks up another arrow and fires again. Bulls-eye.

I'm going to steal your analogy for a bit and repurpose it.

If the rookie archer is a male, nobody would ever suggest that he missed the target because of his sex/gender. The same cannot be said for a female archer. Because she's a female, people automatically assume that she is inferior at archery. If she nailed it on the first try, she would get comments like, "She's pretty good, for a chick." Male privilege is a real thing, whether you realize it or not. (Just as white privilege is a real thing.)

Do you take drugs: Not often?
Do you mean drugs drugs or medicinal drugs.
The fun stuff. Or medicines. The answer could apply to either.

0: Height
5'8" or so.

1: Age
24, 25 in August.

2: Shoe size
9-9.5, US

3: Do you smoke?
Occasionally. Mostly just shisha from a hookah.

4: Do you drink?
A couple of drinks a week.

5: Do you take drugs?
Not often.

6: Age you get mistaken for
People assume I'm younger than I am.

7: Have tattoos?
Not currently.

8: Want any tattoos?
Yes, I want to get this on my bicep.

9: Got any piercings?
Not currently.

10: Want any piercings?
I'm interested in getting my ears pierced.

11: Best friend?
I won't give his name, but we've known each other for at least 15 years, and have been best friends throughout most of that. Great guy.

12: Relationship status
Single, unfortunately. I really need to free up some time in my life and find a companion.

13: Biggest turn ons
Laughing at my jokes.

14: Biggest turn offs
Bigotry, I guess.

15: Favorite movie
Oh, uh... I have a few, so I'll just say Ed Wood, the biopic by Tim Burton starring Johnny Depp.

16: I’ll love you if...
We click? I don't know.

17: Someone you miss
I often miss my family, but I'm currently "back home", so nobody at the moment, really. I guess a couple of my friends I haven't seen in a while.

18: Most traumatic experience
Nothing too bad, really. I guess any time I see people fight. It makes me sad to see relationships devolve to that point.

19: A fact about your personality
While I frequently criticize others, I criticize myself far more internally.

20: What I hate most about myself
I don't really hate anything about myself.

21: What I love most about myself
I strive for perfection and usually produce high quality stuff.

22: What I want to be when I get older
Ha! That's the thing. I don't really know. I would love to write short stories and/or poetry. Since there isn't much money in that sort of thing, I'll probably get my MFA (Master of Fine Arts) and teach some writing courses at a college somewhere.

23: My relationship with my sibling(s)
Growing up, my older brother and I never really got along. These days, we don't talk much, which keeps us on pretty good terms with each other. When I see him, we usually talk about movies and stuff.

My little sister recently had a kid. We talk fairly often. She was the first family member I "came out" to.

24: My relationship with my parent(s)
My parents treat me less like their child and more like a peer. I've just never really needed them to be parents to me, I guess. I prefer to be independent, and they respect that.

25: My idea of a perfect date
We make and eat dinner together, and then we watch a movie with a glass (or more) of wine.

26: My biggest pet peeves
Poor grammar, I suppose.

27: A description of the person I like the most
I had a huge "thing" for this one guy for a really long time. I realized, however, that I was wasting my time on something that will never be. (Even if something between us ever were to develop, the relationship wouldn't last very long, nor would it have been very fun.)

28: A description of the person I dislike the most
Nobody currently fits that description.

29: A reason I’ve lied to a friend
I lied to my best friend when he previously got engaged. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I thought it was a terrible idea. And I was right. They broke up shortly after.

30: What I hate the most about work/school
Losing out on sleep.

31: What my last text message says
The last one I sent was, "Yep." I usually have more to say.

32: What words upset me the most
"Winningest." Ick!

33: What words make me feel the best about myself
Honest ones.

34: What I find attractive in women
I wish I could pull off yoga pants as well as women.

35: What I find attractive in men
I notice a pair of beautiful eyes first.

36: Where I would like to live
I like living in the Palouse. If I were to relocate, Portland, OR would be nice.

37: One of my insecurities
I never think that my writing is any good. Professors and classmates tell me otherwise, but I still worry that what I write is drivel.

38: My childhood career choice
I wanted to be a cartoonist.

39: My favorite ice cream flavor
Phish Food by Ben & Jerry's.

40: Who I wish I could be
I'm happy being me.

41: Where I want to be right now
My apartment, I guess. My parents' house (where I am now) has more food, but my place is more "me."

42: The last thing I ate
A piece of beef jerky.

43: Sexiest person that comes to my mind immediately
I'm not good at these kinds of questions. Out of the A-list celebrities, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pretty damn hot.

44: A random fact about anything
I used to be a "pudgier" fella. After high school, I lost 40 or so pounds of chub by eating better and getting out of the house more often. Despite being tiny, I still have body image issues. I don't starve myself or anything, but I certainly feel guilty when I eat certain things.
