Alright, here's a random question that I hope the Devs answer-
Do you plan to include references and/or nods to GTM in some way or another? Like, if one of the stock AI bots was Spinner from the West, or something.
I mean, it would be a thank you to the community, if anything.
they've nodded at us enough. First with that hidden code when the website was first released, and now directly referencing the forum when doing Q&As.

There's 3 "official" weight limits - 249.0 is lightweight, 399.0 is middleweight, and 800.0 is heavyweight. Your bot is underweight by a good amount - add more armor, etc to bring it up to the weight limit.
As far as what I mean by competitive, just that flippers tend not to win as much as other bot types (unless the arena has very low walls... but even still). They are definitely allowed.

Meta is just what is competitive in stock RA2. Flippers, especially this style, are not competitive. Also, you're over 100kgs short of the weight limit.

We have a handful of folks providing us feedback from the RA2 community. The truth is we'd love to have more folks involved in an open beta, but managing a larger group would take more time and we have a limited amount of that remaining. With that being said we have been getting great feedback from the handful of people who have agreed to help and we are extremely appreciative of their time.
So... it's a Closed Beta starting on May 26th and not an actual full release? I have not seen a game get released on Steam as closed beta right-off-the-bat before.
What? They mean there won't be a beta at all.

snow plows do nothing on HS because they don't do damage to other weapons (as far as I remember) but maybe a ramplate could be good

Building Restrictions:
Snapper Loading and Stacking of any form is banned NO
HS/SnS hybrids aren't allowed
Overlapping can only be done on servos (by that i mean putting motors inside batteries and stuff)
Effe glitch is banned WHAT
Popups can use max 4 razors as weapons but can't use ramplates as armor or burst wedges
caster armor is banned
Blue Snapper is banned noooo
140 cm square AND red extender are banned
HS can only have maximum 2 weapons per weapon head (like for instance, you can't have 3 spikes on one end of a tribar) it's MW you dont really put 3 on anyway

few issues-
the control board is larger than the nifty, so it should be used as the baseplate
once the chassis becomes larger to fit more components, those extra height clicks are exacerbated (the bigger the chassis, the more weight will be taken up by the extra height)

yeah I know GS' is impossible but I'm saying theres also plenty more times people do that where it doesn't get caught either.
as long as the end result is indistinguishable from a legitimate bot, i really don't care if BFE is used. GS's is not, and that's why i have issue with it.
if people want to use bfe to stack their blacks, then go ahead, i doubt anybody really cares.
eh. I could see maybe using hax mode to stack blacks, cause that's at least semi-legit, but I will never condone BFE

Let's not forget that it was only sometimes 248.9, and had a 50% chance of being 249.0.
same goes for 799.9 and 800.0 sometimes a bot weighs 799.94 which it rounds down and sometimes it weighs 799.95 and it rounds up. look in the bot file and you can usually scrap a little bit off the chassis where your visible weight doesn't go down but your secret weight does
