Well, plug a video card on a 300 watt PSU at your own risk.

If you want to learn more about PSU, here's a good place to look

http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/ram-power-supply-support/192217-power-supply-information-selection.html

If you don't want to up your PSU, you are probably better off not upgrading.  It's best be safe than sorry.  The thing is that your 300 watt is barely enough to run all the other components as is.  Even low end video card you are pushing it with 400 watt and are probably best with a 550 watt.  Not having enough power and you might encounter overheating and blue screen (and on occasion, hardware failures).

They also have a short list of video card and power recommendations here.

http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/video-card-support/371158-video-card-quick-list.html

If your computer is "really" old it might not be using the PCI e 2.0 (open it up to check if you are not sure).  You obviously don't want to buy your video card only to find out you don't have the slot for it.  Also be sure to check if there are enough physical space to fit a video card into the machine.

If you want to use the GeForce GT 240 (though it's not that good), you can try with this 550 watt psu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004&cm_re=corsair_psu-_-17-139-004-_-Product

Or if you want to risk having just 400 watt, here's another option.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139008&cm_re=corsair_psu-_-17-139-008-_-Product

Corsair is fairly sturdy and should be able to handle it, although *MAKE SURE YOU CHECK FOR COMPARABILITY BEFORE BUYING ANY PRODUCTS.*

I doubt you can plug in an external video card without more power.

Unfortunately, a good (as in quiet) 500 PSU cost about 80+ dollars.  Last I checked corsair is pretty good.  If you must be cheap you can get one of those vacuum cleaners for 50.  I personally can't stand the noise.

For the VS, is it possible to mount a half sheet on the bottom?  Or is the chassis too low for that?

I am sure NAR 2.0 would push the standards even higher, if that means anything.

I thought we would have a theme or something at least.  Just build a HW bot seems a bit boring if you ask me.

I guess if I made a DSL HW sometime this month I can make a splash and submit it in.

Apart from epic copypasta, i still don't get how he managed to BFE these antlers like that :O

Well, I have the antler build on another file.  So I

*important, do not take a snapshot before these steps*
1.  Figure out how many component are in the original file (which I will call TN)
2.  Figure out where the number starts on the antler (in this case 2)
3.  copy/paste the antler code
4.  Change the ID of parent component accordingly
5.  Except for the 2 main connection point that goes on the hex plate (exporter helps here), all other can be found by (current number + TN - 2)
6.  Be sure to change your component count after you are done.

Unless you make a computation mistake it shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes.

Thanks.  So if I want it to be 50% transparent, do I add .5 to it?

Almost forgot to ask, which decompiler/compiler do I use?

Topic.

Also, are there ways to modify gmf for transparency with a hex editor?  Or do I need to download some programs and unpack it first before I can change transparency?

Aside from the colors, another thing I notice is that we are no longer able to see who's online atm.

Well I checked the CSS script and quotes always uses color #d7daec, so this is one way of hiding your text without all that guess work.

Well if you know how to do CSS modding

the file to mod is

https://gametechmods.com/forums/Themes/default/css/index.css

and you would need to change this (use the search function)

Quote
.windowbg, #preview_body
{
   color: #000000;
   background-color: #e7eaef;
}
.windowbg2
{
   color: #000000;
   background-color: #f0f4f7;
}

to this

Quote
.windowbg, #preview_body
{
   color: #000000;
   background-color: #ffffff;
}
.windowbg2
{
   color: #000000;
   background-color: #ffffff;
}

I figure this out when I was doing my custom layout (because I have problems reading bright colors).

Whiles others might disagree with me, is it possible to use darker (less saturated) colors for the topics and links?  It's really difficult to see orange and bright blue on top of sky blue/grey backgrounds.

Edit:  NM I got around it by using stylish to change all links to black

So when would the deadline be again?  I might have another team to send in if I come up with a LW over the weekend.
